Yes got M.Ed before 7 yrs and teaching countinously since 7 yrs.
Dear Kattel Jee,

If your spouse bachelor's and master's is in mathematics as a major subject then you can claim two points under AOT but note that you need to bring legality of her work experience within the last five years by providing documents of tax payment against her salary. If that is not the case you must be able to present documents stating exemption of tax payment.Hope it helps.

I saw this comment on the site. Does anyone know if this is true ?

From my knowledge this is not true. I am asked to upgrade my French to B2. (Received my file number in feb 14, 2013)

"Aatish Pathak October 9, 2013 at 5:51 pm
the new rules will not apply to those applicants who had already received their file numbers before the 1st of August 2013. But those who had submitted their files before this date rather 6 or 8 months ago but still has not received their file numbers will come under these rules.
Thanks"

Hello I am new here, but I have been reading a lot on the site.

I am upgrading my french from A2 -->B2 (Not easy....but working on it).

I sent my file on Dec 12, 2012 to Montreal MMIC

Received file number on Feb 14, 2013

I received a letter about missing documents on Aug 7, 2013

On Novembre 5, 2013 I received a letter indicated that I will be process according to the new rules. They are giving me 18 months to have B2 french. (Now I am down to 13months left ???)

According to the new rules my points were lower than 49; therefore I did an IELTS exam to improve my points.

Now I have 52 points. Working on B2 French in order to receive more points.

I am very nervous that Quebec immigration would disappoint me; after taking so much time working on French.

Any possibility that they would change the French to B1 ?
Thats the delimma im also in.
In my personal opinion its less likely to change the req to b1.
Im also currently on a2 level n feel b2 is quite difficult to attain being not in a french environment. I think its too much to ask. If one is doing good in his professional field then how on earth one would take so much time out to attain b2(having no background of french)
The ones who applied in 2011 and around shouldn't be treated under new rules as its so unfair.
So much of time alrwady been gone.
I have been asked gor dome docs too. What docs were asked ftom u?

I will seriously think about going for b2 or drop it out altogether. Since if im not able to reach then again more time wasted . I believe one has to assess wisely according to ones own parameters.

They will not accept certified diploma.

Hi as have you done IELTS now and have enough points, Do they still need you to do B2?
As far as i know they only ask applicants to submit higher level of french if they are short on points.

Really? that's good news to know. I just sent my IELTS report to MICC last Friday.

In a couple weeks if I don't get any news. I would ask my agent to give them a buzz.
