Its a scam and i will suggest you to avoid this, because, its a start, after that they will demand more money in shapes of different phases

@ pongpong

saw your timeline. Very inspiring because in 2 years time, you got everything fixed. So are you still employed in the philippines?

Definitely, It's the scam. Nothing is simple to get a job like this. Although you have PR, you will not be able to find a job if you are a nurse or something else. You should study more to have Quebec license or pass some evaluation exam. By the way, the hospital must prove that they can't hire a PR resident for that position. That will be very complicated. Hope you understand the situation. Good luck

Yep me too got the text. I ignored it. It's quite unfortunate how people can stand to fool others. Obviously I will not register, but I will call them and give them a hard time. I am just waiting for the the real BC Children's Hospital to reply to my email and I will make them answer for the things they did. ;D

HI.. I need help on this matter. I have read from a site that to qualify for QSWP you need to at least have a year of experience directly related to area of training if you got your degree after 5 years from the time of application. In my case, I graduated last March 2008, BS Nursing in the Philippines.. but my work experience is as a Caregiver in a Nursing Homes abroad.. do you think I still qualify? anyone here with the same case as that of mine? thank you.. hope to hear from you. :)

yes..that's why im planning to move to montreal by april because my contract here in the philippines will still end on March next year...wish you all the luck my friend with your application..

@ pongpong

i see how fast you got your aor after lodging your application. I think the wait time now is about 4-6months. Once i get a csq, will applying to federal be easier? I mean, are we treated like we have an offer of employment when it comes to processing? Exempted in caps, etc.?

do you think i should enroll in a french course now? I just submitted my docs last oct 4.

from what i know, caregivers will not be considered as nurses. but perhaps you have some nursing experience in the philippines before you left for abroad? clinic, teaching post, etc, i think it doesn't matter for as long as it is a nursing post.

pongpong what is your AOT? till now I dont have AOR, >:(

Based on their website the processing time for federal stage in Philippines is 7 months. But it would be goodto compare it with actual process, let's ask pongpong how long it took him for the whole federal stage.
