Help with "CERTIFIED TRUE COPY" needed here :)

I went to my faculty today and I asked them to certify the copy of my diploma, I gave them my photocopy and secretary wrote: "I certify that this is bla bla"... he signed it and put faculty stamp.. is that it? ::) He did that with my transcripts too..

Thanks javeedislam

PCC is Police clearance certificates?...I think that means SECURITY CHECK?...While Degrees, experience etc verification means BACKGROUND CHECK...Now the BIG question is WHAT HAPPENS AT THE CSQ SELECTION PROCESS?...Because during FSW-PR stage they dont ask about your supporting degree and experience proof anymore
and on the Quebec webpage they only mentioned FSW will check your Security and Medical addmisibilities for final approval.....

I AM TRYING TO FIND OUT INDEPTH OF WHAT REALLY HAPPENS IN THE CSQ SELECTION STAGE SO THAT, OTHER PEOPLE CAN BE WELL INFORM AND KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT IT...Not just sending applications and getting them rejected or returned!!!

Anybody with useful information or experience should comment please

Thanks

BEST OF LUCK xse2573 i am sure that you will dig out all information and share with us...very soon.

hi buzzowsky,
below is the definition of "Certified True Copy given in the Docuements Checklist published on quebec website:

Certified true copy
Copy of a document certified as true to the original by the issuing institution or government authorities responsible for issuing the original document.

E.g.: Transcript obtained from the registrar of the institution that granted your diploma.
If it is impossible to obtain a certified true copy of the original, you may submit a copy of the original document that you present to the issuing institution or document author to have certified.

The authorized person must write in block letters on the copy:
• The declaration: “I certify that this is a true copy of the original document.”
• Name of the original document
• Date of the certification
• Position or title of the authorized person
• His or her name
The authorized person must sign the copy and affix the seal of the institution, if any.

Should marksheets and pass certificates, etc. be NOTARIZED by lawyer or ATTESTED as true copies by university or is either one okay?

@ nevillek,if it is specifically asked to submit certified true copies, then it must be done that way..
but if it mentioned as notarized / certified true copy then you can do it either way.

pls check the below documents checklist for exact requirement of each documents to be submitted wtih application for selection certficate.
