mkshah said:@ nevillek,if it is specifically asked to submit certified true copies, then it must be done that way..
but if it mentioned as notarized / certified true copy then you can do it either way.
pls check the below documents checklist for exact requirement of each documents to be submitted wtih application for selection certficate.

For birth certificate, format required is CERTIFIED TRUE COPY. But my immi consultant said all docs NOTARIZED.

Just onne thing to ask:
is this numbers are from March 21, 2012 till April 11, 2012 ? - Yes, of course !!! and it's clearly mentioned over there in the title head of that table column ....
Or they are counting all applications received from some previous date?- Absolutely not !!!
Because only within a period of 22 days, the entire investor quota is full and this is definitely a matter to pay attention.... - Yeah, it's true bcs. it's an easy way to get into Canada if you have money !!!... and somewhere else I have read that many Chinese people(There is a rush towards this Investor category !!!) choose this category to become PR....
Just imagine what numbers of applications will be received for Skilled Workers Group 2 Category?...Hmmm... ???

It is clearly written as:
Immigration subclass
Maximum number of
applications
from March 21, 2012
to March 31, 2013
Number of applications received up to April 11, 2012:
Hence, it is clear that it is showing application received from March 21 to April 11, 12PM(Corresponding BIQ Time zone).
yes I am well aware about this. But it really looked strange to see that within just 22 days, a category such as Investor catrgory become full.... As you righty said it require some really big money to apply.
Yes, people are crazy to be settled in Quebec.
yes It is evident 2700 applications within 22 days
Investor Elgibility: Person should have to proof that he/she has net asset of $1,600,000 CAN. person should agree to invest $800,000 CAN with a trust Company.
Hence, many people have this amount of money like 80000000 Indian Rupees
Yogiemkshah said:but then why are they not publishing data for skilled worker category? - Well, can't say surely, but it might be due to the new language rules and quota systems for QSW. So we can imagine that there may still be large number of applications received each day at different BIQs and due to these new rules they might have to check each applications for it's completeness(for all documents i.e. language, education, experience etc. and might be initially calculate points as well that whether one is scoring threshold points... or we can say they may perform eligibility review like as FSW, CIO stage (however it is not final calculation of points/eligibility... the final review would be performed at later stage...)... and if they find one ineligible or not scoring threshold points then they may return your application. These steps is necessary into the new quota systems bcs. they have to give chance to another applicant if one is not eligible and also have to maintain that quota where it is applicable. So all this things takes time to publish the data of exact number of complete applications. Earlier there were no any quota systems so they had to just check your documents for completeness and issue you AOR(and they had to perform eligibility at later stage when one's turns come from the queue... ) but it's not the case these days...
Note:This is purely my assumption/Opinion only and it doesn't render any factual info...
Oh no.. if I have to get transcripts, that will take another 10 days... and looking at the 2700 cap reached so fast in the Investor category, I really don't know if I can afford to wait 10 more days...!!!mkshah said:I will advice to do as per mentioned on the website...
They also clearly mentions to submit the CERTIFIED COPY OF TRANSCRIPTS & DEGREE CERTIFICATES. Rest education documents can be notarized.
Regarding Birth Certi, if you cant get it CERTIFIED by the issuing authority because of any issues, then you can attach NOTARIZED copy, but write a covering letter mentioning this situation.
