Thank God. I hope so. is this confirm? how did u know? when you say old application, when was that? actually I have a friend, she got her csq in 2011 then she rcv her aor from SG VO last Mar 2012. NOw, it's been more than a year already but still no news from SG VO. She said, that time the processing time was only 10 months. now, it has become 25 months already. another friend of mine, she rcv her AOR from SG VO last August 2012, then she receive her medical request on Jan 2013. that's why it's quite confusing.

I submitted my file last week, to abu dhabi visa office, i asked my lawyer from montreal, how long does it take since they have lot of cases in abu dhabi visa office, she said " new applicants getting visas within 11-13 months"
Hope its true, many saying so too

I beleive old cases were stuck like us long time, as we waited for our interview, note these ppl 25 months they got their interview csq in 6-9 months, so let them wait no problem ;D

congrats .. can you brief the process .. you paid the enrollment and evaluation fee ?

I applied 3 months ago. The overall application fee was 420$ ( processing + evaluation + letter of eligibility).
You have to register and create an account here: https://contacts.ocq.qc.ca/MemberRegistration/Default.aspx
After you fill out the online application then mail the required supporting documents.
Here's the list of documents required to apply:

- Comparative evaluation for studies done outside Québec (Optional)*
- Photo passport type (signed and dated on the back)
- Academic transcript(s)
- Diploma(s)
- Certificate(s) of training and work (means a letter from the employer)

Processing time is 45-90 working days.

Nope. I didnt contract through the phone as i know i will get the same answer, so don't want to waste time and money by calling them .

Federal stage is the most painful and tedious - especially for middle eastern ppl as we are often perceived as potential terrorists. Now they will send requests to intetpol and similar organizations + your home country and residence country to confirm that you have no record. I suggest that you continue your life and try not to think about Canada, if possible at all, otherwise it will suck all your energy. This is what I did when I waited one year for my visa. Fursa s3ideh!

I also mailed them with my visa office , file no. & the identity no to know the file's status. And after reading your reviews I think they will mail me as the same as you. I received AOR in Mar 2012 which says my file opened on Feb 2012. So I think interview will called in the same session both of us or with harit79.

As per my understanding, our file should be done within 2 years time. So we should be expecting our interview before (in my case) january 2014.

Let's keep our fingers crossed and learn french as much as possible. ;D

my file number is DA000053XXX

yes its your file number the 4 zeros has no value, only DA53xxx
my file number is 401xx 2 weeks ago i done my interview, now they reached 413xx
they usually finish 6000 files per year
i guess you must wait 2 years for your interview, as i waited 31 months and others now 36 months

Dear harit79,

As their website's information our files are in Montreal and I have come to know that they are recruited more personnel to decrease the backlog and their activities are going fast. So I think we may get our interview schedule / CSQ within this year.
