Your situation is somewhat similar to mine, married as well, no family in Quebec, claimed no french, but starting Alliance Francaise this week with plans to update later. Thank God we both have 2 kids because I am happy for those 8 points I will definitely keep you posted on the progress.

from the total above I arrived at 62 points, this is with giving my a zero in her bsc degree as economics but its a double major with statistics, so if they chose to award any points for the statistics part then maybe I'd get interview waiver but if not , am ready to fight for 1 point at an interview .
