hy csaade
i received my AOR on 03 february 2011
and on e cas they said from 2 years and 2 monthes only one phrase
we recieved ur applcation on 27-1-2011
even they didnt mentioned that they moved it to beirut

Well i am sure that they transferred it to Beirut office. In case you want to know what's going on, you can email them to berut.im-permanentresidence@international.gc.ca but put URGENT in the subject before mentioning anything and mark it as high priority. Usually it takes up to 7 business days for them to reply, sometimes more. My application is under process since November 2010, I am married to a Canadian citizen, and I don't even live or work in Lebanon. we should be hearing something soon, or at least a clue about what is going on... By looking at your application processing date, it was 18 months back then, so you have every right to send emails...

i sent an e-mail they respond
thy told me
ure file is ready and waiting his turn
no more things to di just wait

well be happy that they replied ! They started processing my file since 2010 , and they don't reply when i ask a question ! :)

so guys if a MP asks about the file , will he get responses ? what's the way to do it ? Thanks.

The MP is only available in Canada, so you should have someone there as Canadian citizen to assist you in this matter. Maybe you should go for a visit or so like I'm doing, it might push your file somehow...

she is born in canada :P

You need someone in Canada who can ask the MP on your behalf but you have to give them permission by signing a form the MP's office. The MP is allowed to get an update on the file every 6 months without it affecting your processing time. They don't answer really specific questions, but they are able to tell you approximate dates.

Exactly, That's how I did it and got my answers, not too detailed though

hey guys
The MP is only available for Canadian, do you think any Canadian can ask on my behalf the MP about my file although if he/she is not my relative, if I signed a letter
finally, I received a request to undergo a new medical request. the old medical exam has expired one year ago.
I ordered a second Caips notes .. I found the first one very valuable.

To be honest I'm not too sure, but it doesn't hurt to try! What did the CAIPS notes provide you? I wanted to get them too, but a lot of people told me they are useless

Dear friend
Caips note is not useless at all. it can provide you the date when it would be the next step, the next procedure of your file and every process they made on your file.
based on the Caips note you can open a case at the immigration court " writ a mandamus" in order to make them finalized your application in 3 months if your application took a long time in process without any valuable reason.
note: I think your fiance can order it on your behalf for 5$. we foreigners order it for 40$.
I know many sponsorship application have been finalized in less than 10 months.

Ah ! Now i Get it.
You mean you visit the embassy and ask about your file?

No we take an appointment with the MP's office and they help us get updates. It has nothing to do with the embassy. However, they contact the officer in Beirut to get information without it affecting the processing times. The MP's office told me not to send any emails to the embassy because it can delay files.

Absolutely, but it takes up to 4 weeks to get a reply, the only good thing is that they give a strait answer as to when the file will been viewed by a VO
