Can you help me calculate my points regardless of my past experience in Syria:
Age: 28, single 16 points
Education: Electronic & Telecom Engineering (5 years) 10 points
French: DELF B2 12 points if more than 16 in listening and speaking
English: TOEFL 623/667 Not sure but most probably 6 points
Work Experience: +2 years. 4 points
Are there any helping factors that could enhance my chances?!
Thanks in advance.
Victor dear u have 50 points + 1 for autonomie financiere... = 51... and u need 55 to get ur cetificate de selection !!! definitely u will not obtain 4 points during the interview ! ur 2 years from Syria will not be recognized, for sure ! do u have any relatives in Quebec? have u ever traveled there? this can give u more points... do u have a master diploma?Victor.85 said:Dear Ricoluna,

Hi Rico - Why do you think it's hard for him ti get 4 points in the interview? on what basis they usually grant the 6 adaptability points?RICOLUNA said:Victor dear u have 50 points + 1 for autonomie financiere... = 51... and u need 55 to get ur cetificate de selection !!! definitely u will not obtain 4 points during the interview ! ur 2 years from Syria will not be recognized, for sure ! do u have any relatives in Quebec? have u ever traveled there? this can give u more points... do u have a master diploma?
I don't know what to say....u must be well prepared, u know that Mazhar was refused for 1 point he needed during the interview and the officer did not give him 1 point....so will not be easy. Maybe u will be lucky and the will recognize ur syrian experience u'll get 2 more points for work experience and they will give u 2 during interview.....but be well prepared, about what would u work there, everething u know about ur field, salary, job opportunities....about engineers order....if ur job is in high demnad....why u wanna immigrate....Maybe they will take into consideration the bad situation from ur country and the fact that u would like to build ur future in a developed and secure country...u keep tell the this. U'll pray for u, best of luck
Dear Amir, in the moment of interview the applicant must have all the points he needs to obtain the visa....maybe to need 1 more point from them , otherwise they will never ever give u 3-4-5-6 points for adaptability.Amirjs said:Hi Rico - Why do you think it's hard for him ti get 4 points in the interview? on what basis they usually grant the 6 adaptability points?
I agree with you - Victor should go to Montreal on a visit for at least 15 days... that gives him 1 extra point...
Cheers..
Amir

Definitely it's not a rule, but from all experience i got in this process and all the cases i met...i am quite sure.
I've wrote before, Mazhar went in the intrview with 62 points, he needed 1 point only and the officer refused to give them CSQ....and Mazhar was vv good prepared....so to be in the safe side u need to have all the points and wait nothing there.
Regards
