QSW Federal Stage - Application from Inside Canada

Hi, all,

I am a little lost. I applied from Montreal (Office Sydney N.S) in September 2015, got AOR/UCI/IN Process in December 2015, but till now no Med's Request received yet. Do you know if someone else in a similar situation?

Not the same here, but we applied from Montreal (same office as you) in November, got AOR in early March and still didn't get Med's request

Thanks for sharing info. My AOR is in December, sigh....
Besides that, I heard single applicant usually gets Med's request faster than family application.

Anyone else got AOR in 2015, but still waiting for Med's Request?

Single as well on our side, the application is for my girlfriend as I'm already a canadian citizen

1. Am I eligible for Open Work permit now? Or should I extend my closed work-permit with my CSQ?

I applied Federal on Feb 12 , 2016 and got CSQ in Jan 2016 and still didn't get the AOR. Im currently in Montreal. Is there anybody in the same boat or close to this date.

hi i send my file to CIC august 2015 and I got my AOR in December 2015. and from December 2015 its showing processing. After that I got a mail in FeB 2016 that I have any status change or not if change update or ignore the mail. But still no medical request.

Is thr anyone else with same situation like me?

Someone told me that QSW applicants are not eligible for Bridging Open Work Permit. Is this true Anyone who got BOWP after apply through QSW category

Hi I applied in July 2015 and got my AOR in Nov. 2015 so you should give them some more time. As far as I know it takes about 3-4months.

Hey All guys,

I just have one tough question:
My passport will expire in Jan. 2017, and I will certainly need to renew for another one.

However, I just finished the medical exam end of march 2016. It shows now on eCAS that CIC received medical results. I am still waiting for the landing fee request and then the PPR. It may arrive at any time between May 2016 and Jan. 2017.

If the PPR arrives later than June 2016, it remains only 6 months' validity for my passport. I heard that the CIC would require more than 12 months' validity for passport when they need it for issuing visa. Is this true ?

If I renew my passport right away (it would take 2 months to get the new passport), should I report this to CIC as a change of stauts ? If I renew my passport, should I keep the old one for a proof ?

Anybody has experienced the same situation ?

I need your advice on this.
