QSW Federal Stage - Application from Inside Canada

I'm a student in Montreal and applied for my CSQ two weeks before. I'm wondering if I can go to US for two years after receiving my CSQ in Montreal and apply for the federal stage from there?

I am not sure about 30-45 days, but i know a friend of mine who applied in Jan and he got his AOR in around mid of March

It takes 3 months on average.

Here is my case

Category........: QSW
Visa Office......: CIO Sydney N.S
App. Filed.......: 23-02-2016
AOR Received.: 04-04-2016

I have 2 questions.

1. Am I eligible for Open Work permit now? Or should I extend my closed work-permit with my CSQ?
2. How long will it take before my application appear in eCAS?

Thanks guys for your input. I was just assuming based on the above timeline that maybe people are getting AORs in less time now. I saw another person with similar timeline as well.

I just got Medical Request today.

My AOR was on Feb. 28, 2016.

It took less than 3 weeks to get MR. It is faster than believed.
I thought I would need to wait 2 or 3 months to get MR.

Hi guys. Wish you all the best in your ongoing processes. Following is my timeline,

We received your application for permanent residence on November 16, 2015.
We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on March 4, 2016.
We started processing your application on March 4, 2016.
Medical request on March 31,2016
Medical done on April 6, 2016
Medical results have been received April 21, 2016.

When should I expect to have rprf? Coz I see many people got theirs in between medical request and medical received notifications.

I think you should not worry. Its coming soon.
In another post, a lady got her MR on 17th April, while she got her AOR on 12th Feb.

So your MR should be coming soon.

I hope so! Still waiting at the moment, but I'm hopeful we'll receive it by mid-May

Hi everyone,

I applied for federal on 23 March and have not recieved AOR yet. I am a little worried because my friend sent the application with me which is almost identical the same day and he recieved the AOR on 27 April. Both are inland application PEQ. Any ideas?
