Latest update for today. I have finally received the PPR! ;D yayyyyyy!!!

Hope everyone gets theirs soon too.
Wow dude, Congrats for the PPR. May everyone get this news ASAP.
My smear came negative and culture result is on 17 Nov thereafter on 17 December repeat CXR. Last week got an email from New Delhi IOM asking me to go for Lordotix CXR view and appointment with pulmo which i completed and went to pulmo who said you have no symptoms and your health and vitals are all fine, i told him that since last 10 plus years i am playing squash and if i had something like that then how could have i played my game. Anyhow i have to follow their SOP and waiting patiently for the final results. Pray for me please.

This is why the advise is as soon as you and your dependents have completed IME, send word to the VO that the instructions to finish an IME have been complied to within the period given (30 days) - this provides notice to the VO that your part is complete. Between the clinic and the VO, that is their own timeframe.

@ragluf, thank you for response and explanation. Somehow I am getting relieved from your replies.

Will there be a some kind of a receipt or medical letter that I can get as a "proof" that I have taken the IME from their authorize panel physicians? So that I can give it to the VO or on my case, to the agency who is helping me in my application?

Thanks,
C.K.

Upon payment for medical examination, I requested the clinic to issue an invoice and keep it as a proof

hi.. need some advice again.. as we check the.. pp...i notice that the pp we used to process our medical is no longer accredited in the cic. but last year the are still accredited.. .but now not any more... my problem is ... can they still finish the medical to be process even though they are now not accredited anymore at the cic? and where can we check the the medical in the cic website? just to make sure if they really receive the result.... bcoz the pp said they already forwarded it to the cic...

The receipt of payment of fees or an invoice is proof enough that you have complied and submitted yourself and your dependents for IME. You can enclose a copy of that in your update/notice to the VO when all of you have completed the IME.

To ragluf and htokyo,

Your replies made me a little better. My medical has been uploaded today and I got an invoice as well. And my wife and my kids will be doing theirs tom. I have already told my wife to get an invoice as well :)

Is true that female can't take a medical examination when they have their menstrual period?

Thanks,
C.K.

Can't provide a sample for urinalysis at that time. And urinalysis is part of the IME.

Hi Everyone,

It's me again with my question/s. My wife and my kids just did their IME today and my kid who just finished her 6 month medical treatment for primary complex (PM) on the 1st week of this month still needs to go next week to a pulmonary Dr. for her PM check-up. Only my wife and my other kid got their payment receipts for their IME's. So, it really means that for my daughter who had PM she really needs to finish the pulmonary check-up before we can even get a receipt.

- How long does a pulmonary checkup take? do you guys know what will be done on the check-up?
- The receipt that my wife and my other daughter got was just in a plain piece of paper, is this enough as "PROOF" that they did their IME?
- From the events that had happened today, can I still finish it within the 30 days deadline?

I am starting to get worried and pressured again because we have to wait for next week to do my daughters check-up and the 30 days that was given to us (started on Oct. 21) is coming down fast.

Any advice or similar experience here that made it to a successful story would be appreciated...

Thanks,
C.K.

IOM eventually called my wife on the 28th of October after 9 weeks of sputum culture. Result is negative. She was congratulated by the nurse, who told her to do a repeat X ray immediately because it's been very well over 3 months after the initial test on the 6th of July 2015. We were puzzled when the nurse took another blood sample for ESR and told my wife to go for CT Scan. I complained and she said it s CIC ' S instruction which we must complied with. Great forumites. Is it a normal experience? Please help me someone

No one seems to want to help me. Have we moved to another thread? Thanks.

In my opinion, if it's really CIC's instruction then there's nothing left for you to do but to follow.

Hi DeeBruv,

This is normal. Every medical file is different and CIC may have different tests for each individual. For my spouse, along with the repeat x-ray, we were asked to consult a Pulmonologist as well.

Cheers,
LazyBoy

Thanks Lazyboy and mommybear. We dont have any choice at this stage but to wait and follow instructions
