Thanks a million for your prompt response addie08. But we had the initial xrays on the 6th of July 2015. I guess it's past 3 months for xray.

Contact your IOM/Panel physician. They will give you a date for the re-Xray since 90 days have already passed from your first X-ray.

That is not an estimation that is the timeline i have noticed for similar situations i myself is waiting for PPR either november or start december.

Thank you ….Yes they grant us VISA even my daughter is under medication..
PTB findings is based on her Private Pedia thru Skin test and Xray.
SLEC -normal x ray,smear negative ,culture negative too...
Even found out the testings are all normal based SLEC -they are requiring us to go to their Clinic everyday to do the medication.But we refused...instead we choose to visit her Private Pedia Monthly - ..August 28 PPR -October 9 received Passport with Visa..

My husband also did the smear and culture test, smear is negative but culture result will be available next week and we're really praying that it will turn out negative. It took a month before you received your visas?

You shed some light to my worries... My son who's clear Xray from last year medical and due to backlogs we had to repeat and had a reassessment done last September 15. Again, another clear Xray but since my husband had his medication for latent TB last September 2015-Mar 2016 then they asked all my kids for skin test since there's a history of being exposed eventhough the reassessment is for Xray only and IOM said it's their protocol. My 2 girls are negative but my son has positive skin test and we were referred to a pedia of their choice in makati Med. So we did and was asked to take Isoniazid for 9 mos. The DR said it's for him to be prevented from acquiring it in the future. My only sentiment is why IOM didn't request for skin test last year when they diagnosed my husband last year June for suspicious TB and waited for 1 whole year if it's their protocol. The medical reassessment report was already submitted and now I am just waiting for next... I just hope that the person who will review our papers is considerate enough to have my son finish his meds in Canada.

Lazyboy 7199. Thanks. I contacted IOM on phone no picking. I sent a text message on Tuesday informing them that it is over 8 weeks. The doctor replied that it should be ready today 22 or tomorrow 23 Oct. Is this normal?

At times there might be delay from the lab to send the reports to the IOM/panel physician... That's normal... However you can go ahead with the repeat x-ray as both should be at-least 90 days apart! Do not worry and visit the IOM at the earliest appointment!

hello! Anong furtherance test ang done mo na ? Ng repeat xray ka na po ba.? Coz after ng sputum smear and sputum culture po na almost two months ung result , mybrepeat xray 3months after the initial xray was done. Pero depende dn naman sa nirequire sa inyu. Usually if smears and cultures are negative and repeat xray showed no progression, 1-3months ung processing time for PPR after MR, but to most cases less than a month my PPR na. Continue praying and believing na paparating na PPR mo. Godbless!

Hi,
I need some advice. Has anyone got their case transferred to another Panel Physician?

I am working in the middle east. In my medical test, the panel physician found a scar and after further tests diagnosed it as Active Pulmonary TB. I had TB 17 years ago and had taken 9 months medications and have no symptoms.

CIC sent a furtherance email for sputum and x-ray after 3 months. I am not comfortable with the medical staff here as TB is very rare in the middle east. I am travelling to India for a vacation next month. Is it possible for me to take the next set of tests with an approved panel physician in India?

Has anyone transferred their case before? I'm not sure how I should inform CIC and approach the new panel physician.

hi po ulit. waiting po ako nang ppr ,, done ko po ang repeat xray sept 22,,. no signaficant change.. since june22 .. but until now.. wala paring ppr .. ang isa ko pong problema pa expired na ang passport namin this coming july 2016... ang tanong kulang kung pwede ba kaming mag renew ng passport kahit walang advice galing sa embassy?

edlazir, congratulations on your medicals. If there is no PPR by the end of December, you can renew your passport by January. But submit a CSE (Case Specific Enquiry) to your Visa Office, stating that you have renewed your passport. Whether or not they reply you, once your PPR comes, you must submit your old and new passports so they will know it's the same person. In my case my wife did her medicals with a new passport different from the one we submitted with the original application. The Visa Office contacted me send a scan copy of the new passport. They just compared the old with new and discovered it's the same person. You can do the renewal now if you can and the CSE after getting the renewed one. If PPR comes next week you'll have 15 days to process your passport and submit for visa. By and large, Don't forget you must send the old and the new passports when PPR comes.

You need to take appointment from IOM for post 90-days X-ray.
Although culture results are available after 8 weeks (approx. 2 months), the IOM will call you after 3 months for a repeat X-ray if everything was ok in your culture. Do email them for a "post-culture CXR" appointment.

I know it is tiring and frustrating and depressing, but in the end, all should be well.
