My husband undergone sputum culture and the result will come out by Oct. I am checking my ecas and still no update if medical results have been received. Will they update once the medical results of my husband are complete? By the way, I am the principal applicant.

Thanks!

Hi itzmhie, as you mentioned that the result for your husband's medical will come by Oct, ECAS will be updated post completion of Furtherance medical.

For me (I being principal applicant and my spouse underwent re-medicals) the ECAS is not yet updated with medicals results received although we completed re-medicals on 13-Aug-2015. This trend has been observed lately that CIC is not updating medicals received line in ECAS. So just need to wait and see!

Cheers,

Itzmhie. You and I are in the same shoes. My wife's sputum test result will be ready in October. No update that 'medical was received'. The update will not come up until your spouse's medicals are concluded. It's a serious waiting game. They may display the medical update or refuse to. What you should expect is your passport request when your husband's re-medical is cleared. That may also take a couple of weeks. Let's just pray for speed.

Good luck to us DeeBruv! Let us pray that the result will be negative. Please update me for any development by Oct :)
God bless!

Hope my visa will be released soon. I miss my husband so much.

hello Everyone. MR received and I did chest XRAY in other hospital for confirmation. The Radiologist there used to work in IOM 2 years back. There is small scar of minimum size in my lungs and he says its normal. He said CIC may ask only for next XRAY after 6 weeks and if no increment then PPR. But many friends say that even if small scars seen Sputum test is needed. Can any one shade some lights in this. And most friends also suggested to have curd before XRAY that may hide small scars.
please i need suggestion so that I can take appointment for medical

That didnt happen to me. I gave the doctor 4 old. Xrays which are very old 2008 up to my latest 2015 but they still required me the sputum test (smear and culture) which turned out to be negative and repeat xray after 3 months that says stable. Now Im waiting for medical received in my ecas but eventhough I submitted those previous xrays, pulmo clearance certificate and history of treatment, still I went through those things.

You should submit your old X-rays in Digital format (.dcm format) and hard copies are NOT accepted.

The rule is simple:
If you have another X-ray which is more than 6 months older compared to the X-ray of your medical test and there is no difference between them, then there is no requirement for Sputum Culture and further X-Ray.
If you have another X-ray which is between 3-6 months older compared to the X-ray of your medical test and there is no difference between them, then you need to undergo Sputum Culture but there is no need for further X-Ray.
If you do not have any old X-rays in Digital format you need to undergo Sputum Culture which takes 6-8 weeks and another X-ray 90 days after your test.

Dear Akkinikka, We had our medicals on 17th September 2015, my wife and my two lil daughters got through the tests and IOM sent them to LVO. On very next day of test IOM called me and asked me for Sputum (smear and culture) and 90 days X Ray repeat. Its is very frustrating and strange for me as i have no history and never complains, never got fever and no lost weight and medically everything is fine. But they asked me to do the above mentioned test. I am really disaapointed, its a sheer wastage of time.

Dont they have fast means for TB testing of applicants. I have heard and talked with various doctors who informed me that there are other methods of examining PTB which are much faster than the ones which are being adopted by IOM. Why do not they use new techniques for PTB suspicious cases and make the life easy for all of them??
