Did repeat x ray on September 01, 2015 and waiting for Medical Received line to be update in eCas but I observe that Medical has been received line is no more part of ecas and people waiting for Medical line directly got PPR.

Please light on my case and let me know how long I have to wait for passport request going forward. Every response towards my query will be highly appreciated. Thanks

in my case.... I received PPR mail 2 weeks after results of furtherance tests were uploaded in my emedical file... Godbless!

there were only 2 lines before your furtherance completed.? I had only two lines till yesterday but as my PP uploaded reports on eMedical on September 08, 2015 my ecas status updated with multiple lines and currently there are 5 lines.

Is this updation is positive for my case ? Is it possible that I will received PPR next and no Medical Received line will be update to eCas or it will yet to come.? Please share about your before medical ecas lines and after medical furtherance completed ecas lines.. Also about Medical has been received line too. I am waiting to hear from you asap. Thanks

Hello! I already have my passport with visa and COPR with me picked it up this morning from DHL. I dont know how i would feel of cors happy bcoz of the visa but i was shocked to see that alon with the COPR attached are sheets that tells im for medical surveillance. I hope all goes well for me when i land ... Question: once an immigran is for med surveillance does it mean i have to land in canada ASAP? I plan to go in January 2016. Dont worry, Medical survillance given to all who had history of TB or had cured recently from TB. Its their part of formalities and you have take appointments to the concern physician after landing at the destination and they will give you an appointment and start your medical treatment without any cost. It is good for us to get more cure from TB

Congratulations akkinikka. You are blessed. You can land anytime you like within the visa duration frame. Medical surveillance is good for you. You will be in perfect health while in canada.

T.B, so they have called me for 3 consecutive days from tomorrow for sputum samples with fasting at 8 pm. Is there any tip to have it in better way. I had T.B. more than 20 years ago, which left scars on left lung. How long it will take to clear it? and what's ahead if God forbid, result is positive?

Hi best of luck for your sputum culture it will take upto 3 months to call you for your xray again and if it was positive then they will do the treatment you will start taking TB medicine and this in turn will take alot of time.

Hi LuckyMaverick,

This is the normal procedure. They primarily want to rule out any active signs of T.B. You'll need to give 3 samples on consecutive days and it's report takes 2 months to come. Then you will have to appear for a re-xray after 3 months that is, 3 months from 10th Sep 2015 and that re-xray is compared to the initial x-ray for any size change in the scars.

In most cases, the sputum and culture reports come negative. So you'll be done after the re-xray. However IF the report is positive, then you would need to undergo treatment which takes approx 6 - 9 months more!

But as mentioned, you had TB 20 years ago, so do not worry Am sure you'll get through after the second x-ray.

Note: I'm sure you must have meant 8 AM and not PM
