If u provide 6-9 month old x ray than they will not ask for sputum test as well subject to no changes in current and old chest x ray. They will confirm the stabilities from old and current chest x raymumai02 said:Thanks so much. It was st luke's nurse who informed me that i need to have sputum exam. He informed me that i can bring my old xray and sputum exam that i had more than a year ago so they can try to check. He said that they may still ask me to have sputum but not to have repeat xray after 2 or 3 months. I m not sure if thats true and if thats possible. What do you think?
Yes x ray is enough no need to go for further sputum test and if u don't have digital x ray in cd format than do find they way to get it done or ask doctor to take advise from x ray or ct scan technician to do so from x ray film so they can upload to eMedical filemumai02 said:Thank you. The xray i have was taken in april 2014. Will they still honor that? I also have sputum test that says negative on that same month and year.
Yes i strongly agree with you mumai ... i also felt the same when i was requested to undergo sputum test. God has a better plan for us... just keep the faith.God bless to us waiting for the result.mumai02 said:Well, i had my first sputum exam today. I showed them all the old xrays i have and they still told me that regardless if i provided them the xrays, i still need to wait for 2 to 3 months. I guess it was my mistake. I should have brought those during my medical exam. But the doctor told me that if they are normal then its ok if im not bringing them. Well i know God has a plan for everything. Maybe he allowed that so i can still spend more time with my family. Thanks all for your help. Lets continue to wait and pray.1

Thats really good that you have submitted your old chest x ray and ct scan report in digital form
I have live case here in India who submitted their 6-9 months Chest X Ray or CT Scan report will not ask for sputum test AFB reports and Repeat Chest x ray since they can confirm from old chest x ray with current one that no abnormalities found. You will not ask for medical furtherance and will get Medical has been received line in your case after 7-10 days from the day you have done with your medical. Best of luck...
Which is your visa office.,.. If your visa office is Manila than you will get PPR within 15-30 days from the day you underwent for the medical examination.
Best of Luck
I have to go for repeat chest x ray on August 29, 2015
I also need to know that how long they will take after medical furtherance done for PPR
Yes. U have to wait for the result of the repeat xray after 3 months before medical received in e-cas.Emma1026 said:Hello! I need help pls :-[
We already finished our Medical exam at St. Lukes last July 1 and my husband was requested to undergo Sputum Test as he had a history of Pulmonary Tuberculosis. The 3 day test went negative but we still need to wait for the culture results which is 2 months though he is also requested to re Xray after 3 months ( October 2). Is this really the procedure? as far as i know Sputum results is only 2 months.
Also there is still no update online that medical exam received or in process (submitted by St. Lukes July 10) thus this mean we will wait for the results of my husband before it will be updated? I am the principal applicant .
Guyz I've a very similar case which you have discussed.Leo369 said:Hello waiting Winni,
I am from India and my case is not for PR - it is a work Visa.
Meanwhile for others - I managed to find the exact rule for old cured TB
You need to submit a 6 month old X-ray in Digital form - then the chances of exemption for the additional X-Ray and Sputum test are high (provided both the X-Rays are stable)
Otherwise X-Ray which is 3 months old plus Sputum culture tests are asked for.
Ofcourse in both cases, additional documents in digital form like CT scan, Certificate from doctor where you underwent treatment with the list of medicines that were used etc would be helpful for the Immigration medical desk to take a more informed decision to help us.
