Hi I sent my application for restoration and work permit January 26th, called cic last week and was told they have just opened my file and that it is 16 weeks from then and not 16 weeks from January. Has anyone else waited this long?

I am in same situation. I applied for restoration and work permit on 26 Jan 2013, I called in CIC today and they told me, if everything goes well. I will get my work permit till Jun or July. They did not give me in any particular date.

This is crazy, time they are taking to process application. I cannot work. Please if someone has any advise what should i do?

Hi I guys I applied for restoration on Jan 30th.. I called those guys in cic they said me that my file is been to transferred to restoration department on march 12th...and they said me that i may hear from them in early july...I dont why they are taking so much time..ppl in this forum said they got in 48 days, some of them even in 70 days..then y in my case its taking so much time...dont know whats gonna happen, i didnt worked for almost 70 days now...dont know what to do... :'(

I feel so bad for u guys! All u can do is wait..... Calling immigration agent makes no sense, when I called them about my application on restoration they keep telling me that it takes 16 weeks and I should wait until june month end! I applied februray 1st and got my status restored march 20 so just be patient maybe u guys will get restored before the date the agent told u

Hello everyone , I am in same situation and I am so frustrated at this moment and also scared. My work permit expired on 12 dec 12 and i got my PNP Approved on 7th January 2013 so i applied for extension of my work permit and status restore ONLINE from MYCIC ACCOUNT on the basis of PNP nomination on 17th January. Till date i haven't heard anything from CIC , I called them and they said it will take 16 weeks from feb 28 as that the day they started working on my file. My question is do they usually take 16 weeks after they start working on your file and also what are the chances of getting work permit approved on the basis of PNP nomination, Any help will be appreciated Also if someone here in same situation can share his phone, we can talk over the phone. I will appreciate all your help.

Can some one help me in applying for Restoration and Work Permit Online..?

When I apply online with the new CIC interface, it asks me to create a Personal Checklist .And when I create it , I dont see option for restoration .

Ya sweetie pie.. i think call center agent are not so much sychronized with the backend process..they just tell u the time period which they see in their comp... even i think every application is different..hope to hear soon from them...
