My PGWP expired on 7th March 2025 and I have been under restoration status till June 7th.
Now in order to restore my status as well as apply for Visitor Record would it be completed in one application or require 2 different applications in IRCC portal?
I know the fees for both applications is CAD$ 239.39 and CAD$ 100 respectively.

However, when I completed the questionnaire on IRCC portal, it either shows me fee for Restoration status only or visitor record. Please help

My exact same question- I only see a fee of 239CAD, like it is only registering the request for restoration. Please can someone advise if to apply for a visitor record separately after submitting the restoration of status (from worker to visitor) application

I called IRCC, they advised me to restore your status as a visitor, you only need to pay for your restoration fee($239.75) and do not need to pay for Visitor Record($100).

I further asked an immigration lawyer, they mentioned Restoration itself means 'Restoration to Visitor'. In the case, you need to restore to Student or Worker status, then you get the fee for Restoration to Visitor plus Study Permit / Work Permit in the same application.

Hope, it makes sense to you.

Thank you so much for the prompt response. Please, I have a follow up question: as we had a workers status and not visitors status but want to change to visitors status, is that still a restoration of status?
Also, does it mean that when your application is approved, you will get the visitors record as proof?
There are so many contradicting videos out there.

Yes, if your worker status has expired already then you apply for for Restoration to Visitor. If you are eligible to apply for study permit or work permit then you mention the purpose of your visit as Study or Work respectively to your case.

If you choose any of the study or worker then you pay its fee plus the restoration (239.75)
else you only pay the restoration to visitor(239.75)

If you still find it unclear or have doubts, please tell me your case briefly

My case is same as yours. PGWP expired and now within the 90-days restoration grace period. What is actually confusing is the point where it says in some articles, to 'restore to your former status' as if you cannot change status from worker to visitor.

Ignore the videos, I did my research and restoration to visitor is what we need. This is called Visitor Record and it's common sense that once pgwp is expired , you wish to stay here so you can only stay as a visitor and since your status is already expired and now you need to restore to the availabel opt which is visitor
