There are no specific processing time for restoration of study permit, from my searching of the forums, the fastest person got the paperback within one month, and others got their permit back around 3 months or even longer.farshad1024 said:Hello every one, PLEASE HELP ME
Both my study permit and passport were expiring on March 31 2016. I received my passport on April 1st and right away applied for the extension of study permit and suddenly got to understand all the restoration process. I paid all the 350$ cost and applied online. Do you know when I will get my restoration? Can I by anyway follow up with CIC to speed up the process? any office in Montreal or number to call? It was only one day delay of applying!
I called the calling center and was not useful at all.
I am graduating very soon (this summer) and had my seminar in two weeks, so I do need to have it before May. Please Please help me
Thank youuuuuuuuuuu
Sorry i'm not sure if you can just go CIC office in person. But I knew a person in my city he got his paper back in one month. He contact the parliament guy in his area, asked for help, and that guy helped him.farshad1024 said:Thank you for the response. Can I go to the CIC office in Montreal in person? should I get an appointment?
Is there any email address that I can use to contact CIC and explain my situation?
What! This is making no sense, they already approved it, but still need 6 WEEKS to mail itazure04 said:Applied October 9, 2015 for Work Permit Restoration, received decision April 4, 2016. It was approved but I have not received the hard copy of my work permit. I asked them about the timeline. They told me to wait for 6 weeks. I've waited 6 months and they are making my wait longer...
Congrats! I think you can start working again even without the hard copy as long as your SIN number is re-validated. Just to be sure, you should call CIC or go to your local CIC office. Thank you! You're right, I phoned them this morning and told them about the email I have receive. The agent told me that I can start working, it feels nice to be back. Keep on praying guys. So far, the average restoration is 6 months, but I've been hearing 3 months. Leave it to God's hands, good things in your favor will happen.Dood123 said:Congrats!
