PR process while leaving Canada on visitor visa

Hi,

I am living with my husband on H4 visa in USA. He is Canadian citizen & has applied for my PR from US and it's in process. Now he is getting a job in Toronto so I will be moving to Toronto on visitor visa with him. As soon as I will reach Toronto, I will change my address.

I want to know how the consulate will process my file? Am I going to receive PR in Canada or Do I have to re-enter canada (i.e. coming to buffalo office and get PR and enter back in Canada)?

Please advise. This is little urgent for me.
