PR Inland Landing appointments/interviews affected by Covid

Which visa office was handling your case?

Congratulations! Here is what I did, based on my interpretation of the email, without any confirmation/validation from IRCC:

1. I signed and sent only the IRCC copy. I kept the client copy because, as far as I know, we need it when applying for citizenship in the future.
2. I signed and dated the IRCC copy of CoPR.
3. In addition to the photo that came attached to CoPR, I sent another copy (of the same photo), with my name and UCI on the back.

Again, this is what I did, because it seemed logical to me. Do not quote me on that

This is what I am planning to do. At least I know I am not alone.
Tried to contact IRCC but the gets hung before I could talk to any agent. Sent a case-specific enquiry, but the response I got was to refer the correspondence (you know, the same email I have had the doubt about).

Regarding the signing of the IRCC copy, I had called the support center and the officer on the other side had asked me NOT to sign the document. Of course I must admit the officer did not seem to be fully informed and only asked me not to sign since it was not explicitly mentioned. So I am thinking I will go with what I was told (and send an unsigned copy).

Also couple of other things :
1) If you see the letter that came along with the COPR , it says in BOLD, Underline, that we should not sign the copy unless asked to do so by an officer.
2) There are cases where folks do not have a COPR beforehand and get it only during landing. In such cases they too do not have a signature, so signature may not be a prerequisite for closing the process.

I know things are different now and there is a lot subject to interpretation but just sharing my 2 cents ...)

this is also what I did for the photos.I did not sign the copr as they did not explicitly say to sign and there was an instruction on the document they sent with copr that says DO NOT SIGN UNLESS TOLD BY AN IMMIGRATION OFFICER.

Yes but on second thoughts I dont think there is any harm in signing either... See the whole process has changed now and they are doing this without a face to face interview. They are just going to use that COPR to close the process and issue the PR card. What difference would it make to them whether you sign it or not. Its the end of the process anyways.

Honestly, it doesnt matter if you sign it or not. It will not make any difference. Be happy that you received the email.

The immigration customer service often give out incorrect information. Think you need to sign both copies and send them in and CIC will return tour copy.

Hi, I received the same email. It asked me to send CoPR and One Photo to the specified address.
But I have a couple of doubts that need to be clarified.

1. Am I supposed to send ONLY the IRCC copy and keep the client copy?
2. Should I sign on the CoPR?
3. When I received the CoPR,it had my photo with the right specifications attached to it. Can I send the same photo or should I send a new one?

Edit: I just saw the the latest comments. Looks like others have the same questions. I think I got answers for questions 1 and 2.

Think you need to sign both copies and send them in and CIC will return your copy once endorsed.

I Got my confirmation of Permanent Residence email today after checking this thread. My CoPR document was approved on 3rd March, 2020. Had my appointment on 24 March but it got cancelled. I sent them emails regarding phone appointment earlier (today as well). Received email this evening. I believe they are doing it randomly. Stay patient.

You are right. I have actually decided not to send the COPR unless having the right information. I have raised a webform with the questions and will send the copr when I have their response.

Send a general webform and the. You just have to wait. Lots of people waiting and many people have sent multiple webforms and emails so it takes time to go through everything.
