Hello,

I have a few questions I’d like cleared up.

When I initially applied for and received my PR in 2021 (CEC inland in Calgary), I listed my intended destination at that time as Vancouver since I wanted to move there for a while. However, I ended up staying in Calgary because of cheaper cost of living and a job offer. I did do my research at the time and I saw that since I was applying through CEC, the destination really doesn’t matter. Would this cause an issue when I renew my PR card or apply for citizenship? I saw an ask Kubeir video which also confirmed it.

The second one is that I think three weeks before I received my PR, I stepped down from my supervisor position to server at the restaurant I was working at, and did not notify IRCC of the change (at least I don’t think so). While I did step down from the position, I was basically doing the same thing as a supervisor anyways, so I think that’s why it slipped my mind. Would this also cause an issue for PR card renewal or citizenship? Again, an ask Kubeir video said that I did not need to notify them since my PR wasn’t dependant on me having a job (was on a PGWP, and got a BOWP since the former was going to expire soon, didn’t claim any points for a job offer.)

Oh, and the last one. My PR application wasn’t closed for a while (like 4-5 months) after getting my eCOPR and PR card, and I had my GC key revoked before I could check later. I was able to travel outside the country just fine.

Thanks

Not related to the case but for others who may read as long as he didn’t move to Quebec after getting PR instead of staying in Calgary then no issue.
Yes, a good point when it's a PNP but even in that case you can justify it with a job offer, marriage, etc. But, yeah, you have be prepared for that kind of issue.

The government seems to be trying to find a way to make sure those who get PNP settle in a province or at least make a significant effort to settle in the province. I would be cautious when it comes to moving soon after receiving PNP.
