PR Card Renewal - 2015 - Timeline

Hi, guys! I have applied for the renewal of my PR card on November 4, 2014, on the February 20th, 2015 I got request for copy of passport pages (which had been sent originally with the whole package). I sent them right away..and then my file was sent for a second review..still haven't heard nothing from CIC. I have been in Canada for 1000 days, so I fulfill my residency obligation. What do you think is the matter? Is there any time frame? I need to travel in May and I don't know what to do at this point.. Thanks for your advice

Today, I checked Ecas and found the following update:

We received your application for a permanent resident card on July 8, 2015.

We started processing your application on December 10, 2015.

Your request for a permanent resident card was approved on December 10, 2015. Your Permanent resident card will be mailed to you or if quality assurance is required, made available for you to pick up at a CIC office.

We received your application for a permanent resident card on July 8, 2015.

We started processing your application on December 10, 2015.

Your request for a permanent resident card was approved on December 10, 2015. Your Permanent resident card will be mailed to you or if quality assurance is required, made available for you to pick up at a CIC office.

Wow....Started processing on Dec 10 and approved on the same day too? Congrats!!! Hopefully I will get an update on Ecas soon.

I sent my PR card renewal application on January 12, 2016 by Purolator. It is received by CPC Sydney, NS today (Jan 14). My citizenship application is also in process now. Let's see what timelines are waiting for me.

actually there r 2 cases in the family:

* the first:

- applications were received on 12-June-2015
- applications in process on 16-Nov-2015
- ECAS activated on 18-Nov-2015.
- since then no further feedback
- called CIC on 5-Jan-2016, they said applications r approved and should be received by beginning of Feb,2016, but ECAS is not updated until today. Why?

* the second :

- application was received on 10-July-2015
- according to current processing time they are working on applications received up to 28-July-2015.
- called CIC on 11-Jan-2016, they said the application is in process, but ECAS is not activated until today. Why?

Do you have gulf work visa stamps valid or expired in your passport?

Update:

Today I received my PR Card in the mail. Looks like it was printed on Jan 9 and posted on Jan 11. Still my Ecas has not been updated and shows the following :

We are sending ours this week- & plan to travel to Ireland at end June ...hoping to request urgent processing when within 3 month window - really hoping the processing times improve before this!! Otherwise we will have to apply for a travel documents -while away on our trip - which will be difficult since we will be in Ireland and they can only issue them in London!

Hi, my husband's had a third line added to eCAS :-

We sent you correspondence on 14th January.........

Is this something to worry about?

(He submitted the application on July 28th
Application was returned on December 20th because of new photo specifications)

eCAS then said:-

We received your application on December 21st
We started processing your application on December 23rd

Now the third line's appeared but it doesn't indicate that the application is approved. He's got no issues in terms of meeting the Residency Obligation so if anyone can let us know if this is something to worry about I'd be grateful.

I first sent my parnts file for pr renewel in mid of aug
Than in first week of decm with tickts of 21 jan
But only thing i can see on my stauts
We recived ur file 7 decmb
Started processing 8 decmb
Calld help line they say
It was aproved on 23 dec
And sent for production
Can u gus share time line how many days before travling u got pr cards

I had submitted the documents and was received by CIC Sydney on Jan 08th (per Canada Post tracking#).

Do we get any confirmation from CIC ? when and what's the first mode of communication from CIC and how can we track our Status .

Please advise.

I completed my landing yesterday and of course the picture on my COPR still has the old specs since it was taken about a year ago. Isn't it possible to send the picture to CIC immediately so that they don't have to return my application?

I read all the replies on this post, and I wish somebody can help me about my case, this is my case:

• I sent my first PR card renewal application on Sep 15th, and they received on Sep 17th;
• Until Dec, there was no news , I checked online status almost everyday. Cause I am the only son and my dad passed away, my mom alone in China i need go back to China spent Chinese new year with her, Chinese new year is Feb 8th 2016. So I called them twice, an officer told me I can resend my documents again and starting urgency case.
• So I took pictures again and resent all the documents (portrait photos, all passport copies, taxes for 5 years, travelling days records , my air tickets copy which I planed to leave at 25 Jan .etc), and sent to them Dec 10th.
• Dec 14th they received my application ,and I checked online that my was in processing since 15th Dec 2015.
• Today is Jan 18th 2016, there is no news so far. I don't know what happened, should I call them again? I came back to china almost every year, but I stayed in Canada more than 3 yrs.
  

I heard another news from an Indian guy, he told me PR card only can renew twice, after that if you dont join citizen, you maybe kicked out from Canada. Is that true? Does anyone heard of this kind of news?
