UN MESSAGE EN FRANÇAIS SUIVRA.

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

This message is to inform you that we have received your request asking us to process your Permanent Resident Card (PR card) urgently. We have notified the Case Processing Centre (CPC) in Sydney, Nova Scotia.

Once the card is produced, it will either be mailed directly to you or be randomly selected for in-person pick up. This random selection for in-person pick up will allow IRCC to gather information for improving the processing of PR Card applications. If your card is selected for pick up, you will be informed of the date, time and location of the pick-up and the type of document you will be required to bring with you.

There is no guarantee that the card will be ready before your departure, but we will make all the necessary efforts to speed up the processing of your application.

If the card is not ready before your departure, you will have apply for a Travel document (permanent resident abroad) at a Canadian visa office located outside Canada before returning to the country. The application is available on our website. You can fill out the application online and print it or fill it out by hand. The travel document is only normally valid for one entry.

Please note that a PR card or travel document is required for all permanent residents returning to Canada on a commercial vehicle (plane, train, boat or bus).

You can verify the status of your application using the e-Client Application Status (e-CAS) online tool. You may also visit the online Help Centre or our website for further information. You can search by typing keywords.

Please do not reply to this email.

Sincerely,

HI,

My wallet was stolen and it had my PR Card in it.

Applied for a Replacement - 12th September 2016
AOR - 28th September 2016
In Processing - 29th September 2016

I had also attached copy of police report, COPR and my stolen PR Card.

I am travelling to India in January and my tickets were booked way before the card got stolen.

Will I be able to get it before that (cause I 've heard that there is no processing of applications in December) or should I contact CIC regarding this to process my application faster?

And also I read in someone comments that Replacement of stolen or lost PR cards is little faster than renewal. IS it true?

Thanks!

Hi Guys,

I am in a Catch 22 situation..

My PR Expiry Date is 4th of February 2021. Which Means I need to enter Canada before 3rd of Feb 2019.

I am currently in Australia (as a PR) and my wife is keen to get the Australian Citizenship for the Kids, this would happen in March 2019.

I would need your advise on how the Department treats in a Scenario where I enter Canada on March 2019 and Continue to Stay for the next 2 Years.... We will be short of the Residency Obligation by a Month ... Can we still get our PR Renewed Considering that we don't travel much during our final 2 years in Canada .

Do we stand a chance of a Renewal ?

Thanks

Hi winnie

When were you able to see "in process" on ur ecas? Were you able to check your ecas as soon as you got acknowledgement email or later??

Hello Members
I became Permanent residence of Canada day I arrived i.e. 13th July 2016.
I will be staying in Canada until December 19th 2016 says about 159 day’s from 13th July 2016 and will return to DUBAI for next 1.5 years 15 months from December 19th 2016 onwards.
My question is as to keep my PR status valid I must stay in Canada for minimum of 2 years out of 5 years. So if I come back in 2018 July will I be able to renew my PR card without any problem or I may be short of 730 days.
My PR card is valid until 2021 August
I understand, if I arrive in 2018 July and then stay back until 2021 I am good to go, please advice
July 13th 2016 –to- 19th December 2016 = days physically present is 159
Now from 2018 July to 2021 August = it will be more than 730 days as per calculator it is 2018=171 days, 2019= 365, 2020=366 & 2021=232 so in total will be 1134 counting from 2018 year and I believe my current stay i.e. from July 13th2016 –to- 19th December 2016 with 159 days will also be counted.
Number of days physically present per calendar year towards my PR renewal will be 1294 days. Please correct me please

2016 160
2017 0
2018 171
2019 365
2020 366
2021 232

My number is 001-9029409260 if there is any whatsapp group for this please add me
