Oh hey! Me too! Ottawa must have been waiting for that approval, and now they're gonna crank out the paperwork (I hope)

A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

DM after PPR = "your COPR has been printed and is on its way back to you."

My COPR was printed on 9 October, mailed on 10 October, and arrived on 12 October (via a USPS "next day" express package. On 13 October e-cas updated to "DM".

Congrats!

My CoPR was issued/printed Oct 29th but mailed one week later Nov 6th, the day I got my DM and then it took forever to come LOL hopefully mail will run faster for you guys if it doesn't have to cross the border but Canada Post is slow so who knows. I did however receive all documents and photos I sent in with the application as well so I figured thats what took the week getting everything together...anyways Congrats Guys!

Yeah lets hope that Ottawa gets all of their CORP's back long sent out so they can start looking at files again... well I say files but I really mean mine...lol

I'm changing addresses as of today, but I obviously won't change it through CIC this late in the process. The question I have is, what's the best way to change address after the arrival of the COPR? I don't want the physical PR to be sent to my old address. Is it as simple as calling them up after landing and letting them know of the address change? Or is there a more formal form I'll have to submit?

Just a note, if for those who haven't already seen it - I've made an Ottawa spreadsheet that now has quite a few entries (more than 40). The link is in my signature. Feel free to add your own information (anyone can edit the spreadsheet)!

So, just curious, where are all of you guys headed? I'm moving to Winnipeg, and will be landing at the Pembina/Emerson crossing.

We are going to Scarborough Ontario (Toronto) and I still don't know what border my husband will land at. It depends when he gets approval and when it expires. We are moving in April regardless if he has his PR yet or not because that is when my work starts so we are keeping our fingers crossed that he will have it by then so we can land then all at the same time as I'm a returning Canadian. Or if we get it soon and it expires before the move he will land at one of the BC borders because we are in the Seattle area.

Tell the CBSA officer - she or he will confirm it at the time of landing anyway.

CBSA maintains a list of POEs with immigration services: http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/contact/listing/indexpages/indextype38-e.html

I landed at Douglas (Peace Arch) and it was quite pleasant. The facility at Pacific Crossing is also fine. Both offer 24 hour immigration services and either is convenient from Seattle (between 90-120 minutes drive to the border in my experience, though longer obviously if you are in Federal Way versus Bothell...)

Thanks for the link! I'm really hoping that we can just land on our way up to Ontario because I know my husband and he would get lost so bad even just flipping around on the Canadian side of the border to come home...lol

How specific are you guys getting on your B4/B4A? I wrote down clothes, linens, books, and kitchen utensils as my "general" items, but I'm wondering if I need to be more specific and write down like spatula, chef's knife, 7 jeans, 15 novels, etc. Any thoughts?
