PPR Ottawa ?

Right now, I'm just complaining.

Yeah, I hear you. If it's any consolation, I've gotten responses each time I email that say "it's coming this week!" and three weeks in a row I still have nothing. So the responses haven't been especially illuminating :

I wonder if they were under the impression it was coming?? It being the approval to mail COPR's OB that computergeek posted.

Well, until November 21, 2012, CPP-O wasn't authorized to issue COPRs: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2012/ob481.asp

Wow thats interesting. I hope then, to see a batch of copr's sent out soon. I have some time before mine arrives, but how long should I wait before inquiring? Im not in a huge rush as I live in Ottawa already with my husband and our baby, but it would be nice to finally have my PR!

Well, hopefully we in the first group take the longest time (being the guinea pigs). The only reason I inquired was because I had the paperwork for a work visa but wanted to know if the PR was coming (so I only had to land once).

Now that they should be moving, I bet it doesn't take you long at all

Well, once I informed them that my copr was on the way and I would be permanent resident soon(ish), they were more than happy to wait just not to do the hiring paperwork twice. So even though I could have been working a couple weeks now, they're being SUPER cool.

I've decided to wait it out, also because I was told it is really, for reals reals, on its way now. I'll just take advantage of being able to spend time with my mother, which is not so bad

Of course, it's just nice to see eCas update. So far in the process, eCas has updated about 3 days after letters have been sent, so I'm hoping it's in the mail today! If not, it should definitely show up some time next week since it's coming from Ottawa to my Canadian address. Just in time for my wife who was planning to move up here anyways on the 17th. So, looks like we'll be doing a landing that day!

I'll post again when COPR is official so we can update the spreadsheet and get some more info on what's happening with Ottawa.
