PPR Ottawa ?

Has anyone who has sent a Passport copy to Ottawa heard back? I figured the CoPR would be right around the corner...taking longer than I expected :

Not yet, for me either. I'm starting to think that in their way of doing things, that Ottawa doesn't do the PPR request as the very last step like LA does or Buffalo did. One of the PPR's even included a request for a background check. And as far as I can tell, all of the Ottawa PPR's have had ~60 days to return, whereas LA said that they needed it in 15-20 days. So that leads me to believe that they're requesting them well before the files have been finalized.

It could be another wave of CoPR's. Ottawa seems to have been working in waves since they started doing apps.

I agree. I was "timing" it via LA and hoping that I would receive the COPR this month. We sent CoPP on Oct 19th. Now we are thinking more January just to keep our nerves in better shape.

So the plus of CPP-O is that they don't need your physical passport. The downside is that they aren't as fast to return it.

The waiting really is the worst part of the process.

My PPR came from LA and I was asked to return it with-in 60 days, they received it Oct 16th took 6 days because Fed-EX didn't have me fill out the paper for the border and it came back, 5 days after LA received it my address changed on E-cas to Canadian address 5 days after that E-cas changed to Decision Made, it has now been 5 days since DM still no PP but of course no mail on long weekend :'( just hoping to get it this week I'd like to go home for Thanksgiving and land on the way back! Thanks all for the updates! It does seem now that PPR isn't quite the same step as it was for Buffalo or LA.

FYI, I sent my passport copy (by email) on Oct. 22 and haven't heard anything since (nor has my eCas changed from 'In Process').

I'm going to be emailing tomorrow for another update. I was last updated on the 31st saying to allow 2-4 more weeks for processing. My wife and I had planned for her to come up on December 17th to wait out the rest of her trip when we first decided to do this process, so that she could spend Christmas here. I also am going to ask them about which address they send COPR to as we used an immigration consultant. I'll report back tomorrow if I hear anything.

Did you email the generic CPP-O email address, or go through another channel? I have a job offer and it would be great to confirm that I might be able to just wait for CoPR instead of getting my work visa and turning around to PR a week later... Hopefully since we submitted passports at the same time, I am on a similar sched!
