I know!! I think everyone on this forum has already gotten their visa or is in the land of the 'depressed and sick of waiting without word'.

It used to make me sad when I would check every day and not hear anything... But I've finally gotten to a spot where I'm just MAD. I know I don't have the "right" to be mad already as I am still within normal processing times and many have been waiting longer than me. But it just frustrates the crap out of me that they don't answer CSEs, they work so slowly, and there's nothing we can do to even figure out where we are at in the process. I could scream!

Anyway, the only blessing is that school keeps me busy enough to not be crazy ALL the time... Sigh.

I understand why you are mad and whether you are waiting 3 months, 5 months or 11 months..this process can definitely take a toll on anyone. The issue for me is why so many other VO's can process applications within 3 months etc and Trinidad cant? It is just not fair. And yes I understand every case is different yaddi yadda but still. Probably I need to stop frequenting the other threads!

But anyway I hope there is some light at the end of your tunnel soon. Its good that you have school to focus on to distract you from this process.
Being home on maternity leave has me thinking about it 24/7!!! ugh

hey @missd how much of that 8 months have you spent with your spouse?

Hey guys.... Still no information from POS but it's great to see some of you completing the turbulent, convoluted process at POS.

My wife and daughter joined me last month and we've been having a blast together. It's such a good feeling coming home to my daughter and wife.
But the worries of immigration still lingers in my mind. Our 2 child will be born in Toronto in July God's willing, thank God we wouldn't have to addon
to our application again cause you know thats another 12 months with POS...lol

A friend of mines sponsored his wife from Jamaica, in Canada, she got her papers in December- now she wants a divorce. Quite sad...hope this doesn't happen to any of you.

Anyways, keep waiting patiently, about to order caips notes again to see if they did anything since January...doh hut allyuh head! soon!

Hey everyone!

We have just returned from Trinidad. Two weeks with my husband was great and holy crap reality hit me hard today! Back to the grind and the waiting. I plan to visit again in August and just counted down the days. Pretty lame, if I say so myself! Our daughter said DADDY while we were visiting. Such a special time for him. It was even harder leaving him this time though. Lots of tears :(
I have a bunch of questions. We still have not yet received AOR from POS. Tomorrow will be 3 months since our application was sent to Trinidad. Would you guys recommend sending an email? I found my husbands UCI number and logged in but it said nothing we didn't already know. Who do I send the email to? Do I just say I'm wondering if application was received? Also, I'm putting together another package with all our supporting documents and sending them. I have my husbands finger prints to send to the RCMP. Should I wait for the results of that or goahead and send the package and add finger prints results when I get them?

How is everyone else doing?

FAD: how is the baby? Any travel plans? I thought of you when I came back into Canada. CBSA gave me a hard time about the custody of my daughter. I had her long form birth certificate and letter notorized from my husband saying I could travel. They wanted to see marriage certificate with his signature to verify. And the CBSA says to me at the end... Good luck you're in for a long wait. I know it's her job but te comment was just like rubbing salt in a wound.

Dadzin: it is great to hear you're enjoying your family! Your story brought goosebumps to my skin. I can't wait to have my husband home and spending time together as a family. I know you still think about immigration often I'm sure!

MissD: how is residency treating you? Think you said you were doing OBS/GYN? I'm sure you are exhausted! Never a dull moment in that area! Have you got your hands on ECAS notes yet?

Millslu: your time is coming right up. Did you get your notes yet? I think you said your wife was visiting soon? When? Enjoy your time!!

Well everyone... It's been dead around here. I thought I would come back to pages of excitement and at least one person would have some good news. It's going to happen soon!

Hearing her say Daddy...wow....I could only imagine saying goodbye in the airport....I went through that a couple times....Hang in there! Smile right now!

AOR, alot of ppl dont receive one, sometimes applications say "decision made" and no AOR. I don't think it's necessary to send email for that. My experience is that POS is more happy and works faster on your file when there are less inquiries. Did you know that the Immigration Officer who your case is assigned to has hundreds of cases to decision? So if its not adding documents or reporting any changes- I'd say do NOT contact the VO, within the normal processing time.

The other supporting stuff you should send in asap.

Our wait is long, but it sure does build character in you. Amen.

Hi there Behopeful,

Glad you got an opportunity to see hubby. Awww I feel bad for him it must be hard seeing both of you guys leave at the same time. Sometimes when I get depressed that he isnt here for the baby I forget how hard it must be for him not seeing his first child. I am planning a trip soon but I know it will be even harder to leave :(. Wow cant believe they gave you problems at CBSA. Is the long form of the birth certificate called the statement of live birth?

I pray that POS give us something to rejoice about

I was thinking the same thing about not adding anymore work for someone. I get slightly anxious sometimes and feel the need to do something. All will work itself out. Our time will come and I really do believe our relationship is and will be stronger because of this whole process. Thanks for the advise! Always a pleasure reading your positive thoughts!

Hi FAD!
I remind myself of the same thing. I get to see my daughter everyday. It's much harder for him to say goodbye. Soon it will come to an end.
No the long form birth certificate is different from the statement of live birth. You need to information from the statement of live birth to fill out for the birth certificate. Basically there are 2 birth certificates. One is a wallet size certificate which just says the name, DOB, etc. The other is called a long form and its basically a long sheet of paper that has an official stamp in the corner. It gives all the details on the child, birth place, weight at birth plus information on the parents IE. parents names, birth places, etc. CBSA wants to see the passport, long form birth certificate to confirm who the parents are and a notarized letter from the absent parent saying the other parent can travel with the child. I'm assuming you've filled out for the birth certificate. It gives you the option of ordering either short or long birth certificate. We originally ordered the wallet size but had to go back and order the long form. Even if you weren't to list any father of the child, CBSA's still want to see long form to confirm custody of the child.
The first time I went to Trinidad I didn't get asked for anything besides passport but this time I was asked for the works. Better to be safe then sorry.

wow amazing family talks going on in the forum, beautiful kids being born and amazing kids meeting family for the first time, god bless you all, the wait will be over soon.

My wife is visiting me on the 18th a week from today and spending a week, she wishes she could stay longer but its a pivital time in the ministry she works with so she found a small window and she took it, i have been away from her for 3.5 months it might not be that long but we are very much attached to each other and we share so much personality together. am really looking forward to seenig her. its sad that this situation is going on and makes it harder for us to be sponsored, with ppl landing and either getting devorces or running away, well am sure karma will deal with them accordingly.

it is great hearing from all, am hoping at the end of the month yourll could pass on some helpfull hints on INTERVIEWS as you know mine is coming up soon.
