Hi all, does anyone know how long it takes POS to return your passport once they've upgraded your account to Decision Made?

With the exception of cases that are waiting on medical extensions, a passport is usually sent back out to you within 2 weeks of them receiving it in POS.

Thanks Miss Dominica. Was just wondering because my A/C changed to Decision Made today and I wanted to know how long after that change I should expect the passport to be with the courier. With the two weeks timeline, that should be done mid next week. Very happy abt that.

hello guys, well a more then month now that pos has the passeport, 6 weeks ottawa has the medical.
Frustrated i sent another email..got this responce

This refers to your E-mail below.

The results of your medical examination has not been received by this office as yet. We have your passport in our possession awaiting the results. As soon as they are received, we will inform you and your file will be sent to the officer for finalization.

We hope the above information will be of assistance to you.

As always i know i should be happy just to get a reply, i know the end is near,,,but still this week end will be long and painfull!!!please ho please get this to end!!!!!

That reminds me, have any of you had experience with filing your taxes here as Married? My hubby does not have a SIN number, nor has been able to find any consistent work for the past while. Am I able to claim him as little to no income? I'm sorry if that isn't explained quite so clearly... basically I want to know if when I file as married, and list him as no income, how will that affect my return?

You can do that.. or you can file with him as your husband but also dependant... If you have proof of sending him money, etc then you can claim that. I don't know the details of it, as I have not done it.. but a few people were explaining it on the Kingston, Jamaica thread. Here is the link to their page:

I'm sure if you post there and ask them for their advice, they will answer. I wouldn't spend time looking back through all the pages trying to find it, as they have almost 2000 pages of posts.

Hang in there Bonita. It takes about 7-8 weeks to process the new medicals, so your time is right around the corner!

i live in quebec, put my husband on my taxes for the last 5 years.
i put hi as my husband, put the salary he makes on the island as his revenu and write not canadian in the box for the social security number.
I always get a letter from federal gvm in july, asking to fill up a form called revenu outside canada in witch i write the same info. they add is salary to mine for the calclation of the money a get for m girls ect...
hoping its clear enough...the girls are keeping me busy while i write this!

Congrats! Almost there but I'm sure it seems like forever!

On another note... It's so quiet in here! I just dropped in to read a few posts and there was barely anything to read. Hope everyone is ok and not getting too bummed out.
