We applied prior to getting married and it got rejected.
And I dont see them approving one now in the midst of PR application with a baby due any minute now! It just adds more to his ties here even if he has ties down there too. So I guess we will just wait. With their 18 month timeline I guess we will hear from them closer to the end of this year...*sigh*
I think you will hear from them soon and before the summer your hubby will be in Canada. Have you been on the Cuba thread? That embassy is dishing out PPR's like water...most is after 3 months of file transfer.
Awe, sorry I didn't realize you'd applied before. It's a pretty crappy feeling when you get that rejection letter. I guess we're just in it for the long-haul.
How far along are you now? I love me some babies! ;D
I have never been on the cuba thread, but I'm going to check it out right now! LOL. It's crazy to me that they'd be moving so fast! Considering people from USA can't even GO to Cuba, you would think the immigration to Canada would be at least a little slower as a result of those tensions and us being so close with the USA.. but I guess not! lol. Our hubbies' countries are suffering though for nothing
and it's taking em forever to get them to us. It is what it is, I guess. No use complaining cuz nothin happens when I do LOL
I hope you're right that we will hear soon. We're just past the 7 month mark from our application date. I had hope we'd hear early because we got our AOR super fast (within one month of transfer)... so I've been holding my breath... but so far not a peep. It's hard (as you know). I want to do things to begin to get ready for him (send him job listings, look for an apartment for us, etc), but it's pointless because the jobs I looked at a month ago are no longer hiring, the apartments I looked at are no longer available, etc. You just have to kind of sit back and wait and do nothing.. and it's hard! lol But that's no secret to anyone here.
