am not ordering crap cant really take on all this stuff back and fourth with POS, plus they never sent me anything from the last time, which was a while back but never the less, so am leaving them alone, I hear when you give them more work to do it slows down the process. my wife and I already starting to break down mentally, we trying to find a happy place, hahahaha maybe the nut house will be good.

so its Friday and the place is already closed nothing at all from or to anybody, no sense sticking around I guess we will see everybody on Monday. have a great weekend and @ missd make the best of it, everyone else god bless and dnt give up hope. :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*
Yes Millslu, it would likely be of no benefit for you to order your notes at this point because you basically know what is going on with your application!

how long after medical and pcc and ppr is visa stamp how long can port of spain keep ur passport is there an illegial time for them to keep ur pass port
I am not completely sure as to the answer to this question, however this is what I've read from the forum. Usually it takes 2-6 weeks for the passport to be returned once a VISA is issued. I don't believe it is illegal for them to keep your passport for a certain amount of time. New Delhi, another VO, requests passports very early in the process and holds them longer then most offices. POS requests the passports at the end when they are ready to issue the VISA. Hope this response was helpful and perhaps other members will provide more detail.

Well. I can't fall asleep. And I called my husband to wake him up to talk again about his interview. I can't wrap my head around the time we have been waiting since he had it. The lady specifically said to him we will contact your lawyer within 2 weeks cause she needs to go through his file again. Like why has it been almost 2 months?!? Has anyone heard of anyone waiting this long to hear an answer after an interview??? I know it's 50/50 if the give u an answer on the spot. But to wait this long makes me feel something is up. I keep thinking and going through the interview with him and to me it seems strange. As if they sent something and for some reason we didn't get it. If anyone has any experience with this please let me know. Thanks!!

hi @gigi

when you have a chance update your timeline now. and if I can try my best to help you here as well, you have to realize that your application is way below expected processing time, not many application get a short period of time like yours did, I dnk think you should be worried about the interview, am thinking that if the VO needs time to procrastinate now is the time, he has enough time to spend on the application as he feels free, the normal time take 18 months your app was I think 6 months. so tke that into consideration and try not to have to many sleepless nights worrying about why they haven't gotten back at you.

please try to take it easy and am sure everything will be ok in time to come..

Hi gigi,

No one can say for sure how long it will take for u to hear something. It all depends with POS as every case is different. Be comforted by the fact that your case got dealt with pretty quickly so hopefully you will hear something soon.

Kenyatta... Can you share some details of your application? When did you file? Inland or Outland? Family sponsorship? Has POS requested your passport? Is yes, how long ago? We look forward to hearing from you, it helps all of us better gage where POS is at.

There is no predefined limit on how long they can keep your passport. They'll keep it as long as it takes them to complete their work. For spousal applications, it's usually 2-4 weeks. Other relatives have different procedures, so I'm not sure what those timelines are.

Everyone keeps saying my application has been moved along pretty quickly. But I still don't feel it. Maybe it because you guys are lucky and don't need an interview or arc. So in the end u will be ahead of me.
And to be honest with you. Before I signed up with this lawyer I met a few others and after knowing our case they all told me it should only take 6 to 8 months. So that is what I am banking on. Or at least was banking on.
Do you guys have lawyers representing you? I wonder if that can affect the timeline.
Also my husband has a child in Canada. So that could be another reason. Since Canada is supposed to want to reunite families together and not break them up or have them a part.
I know to you all it seems like I'm closer. But its Dosent feel that way. I'm not looking for pity. I just like to come in here and vent cause friends just don't get it.

Hi gigi

Having a lawyer represent you have no bearing on the processing of your application.
And my husband and I have a child together as does Behopeful and I don't think it will make our application go any quicker than a couple without kids (thats my opinion though)

POS does whatever they feel like doing and that's the harsh reality. After going through this entire thread I can tell they do not have any standard procedure for anything. It is very unfortunate actually. Have you tried emailing them re your interview? I do not want to tell you to be patient because it is normal to be anxious about this process whether you are waiting 6 months...1 year or 2 years!

hi gigi

I agree with fromadistance, I aso had an interview and also an arc am waiting for I also have a rep but none of that makes it any easier for me , as you can see this month is my 13 month, and at my interview they told me that my relationship was genuine, and I had already gave them the arc and the money order although they sent the money order back to me and told me I gave them to much money, so I had to send them the exact amount, but as you can see am still here waiting, so you can see the VO in POS do what they want, if a lawyer or rep told u 6-8 month then they must be magician or as we all know they are lyers that why we have this forum so we can narrow it down a little better giving ppl realistic goals instead of lies.

gigi be patient that all you have there isn't nothing else, venting is good and we are always here to help you along with this.
