Any response at all from POS is good news considering they hardly respond to emails.

So your file has been with a reviewing officer for 5 months? How many people work there?? ???

Woop woop!

Almost 6 months :o since it was sent for review by the officer.. yowzerz.

@millslu, hubby is good... It was funny.. He doesn't really pay too much attention to all my hype about when something "means" something or when POS doesn't respond because I think he knows it stresses me out and doesn't want to contribute to my insanity lol

But today when I was telling him about finally hearing back from POS he just kind of looked at me all strangely.. and I was like, "what?!" and he goes "Oh nothing, just waiting for my visa in the mail" hehehe. If he's getting excited, then I'm definitely getting excited.

Too bad I leave in just over a week.. maybe I'd be here when we got news! haha

hahah@mountain chicken, but yes missd my wife is the same she gets all excited and sometimes I don't even call her cause all she talks about is this, I keep telling her be patients and stuff but its hard for her. right now we waiting on either a medical extension casue my meds expired last month the 19th so hopefully we will hear something very soon. its been quite good from them responding to us about our app, but I don't know with our last situation how much delay our app got.

but @missd just try to enjoy your hubby and enjoy dominica I tell me wife everyday no matter what it is going to come to an end and u will be sitting there one day looking back at all this. keep yourself occupied under the sun and have fun maybe when u take yur mind off of it then tht when the magic is gonna work, happens to me all the time.

Wow u are kidding me!

Yes FAD, this is a joke - don't worry!! ;) POS has a decent amount of officers, not enough for our liking but I will see if I can find the exact figures, I have seen it online before.

Hi FAD as of 2013 the POS High Commission has a total of 60 staff and back in 2008 (according to their audit) over half of them were dedicated to immigration alone. I do not know if that split has remained the same or changed over the years. I would think it may have remained the same or possibly increased as the POS office has had other countries added to it's jurisdiction since 2008. That's the most info. I can find, if anyone else knows more, please chime in. ;) Blessings everyone.

Lol thanks for the info. I almost got a heart attack!

Hello POS forum!

How is everyone? Hopefully holding on. Unfortunately it is the end of another week and no news for anyone here. We need something to lift our spirits!

Wonderful to hear from you MissD! Enjoy the time with hubby. I find if I go longer then 4 months without seeing my husband, I get completely depressed. So glad you guys have time together. On your notes was there a being forward date for when the senior staff member would review it? Or are bring forward dates more for when they ask you to provide something for them? I should be getting my notes in the next 2 weeks. I'm not anticipating much, but we will see.

Enjoy the weekend everyone!

yeh its ridulouse with POS am still waiting for my medical extension and hoping that I don't get a re examination, this waiting is killing me and my wifey.

POS is slowly killing us all with this wait!
Did you send a CSE to ask if they were requesting an extension? From what I've read, they sometimes just extend it and never let you know, especially if your file is very close to finishing.

Hmm.. no I don't see a BFD or "Bring Forward Date" anywhere in relation to that. I've heard people have had these on their notes, but I don't see mine anywhere :-X

It used to be called BFD in CAIPS. In gcms it's called the "due date". Should be one under the main sections up front, specifically under "application assignment"

Maybe only if they request something. Will you order your notes again?

am not ordering crap cant really take on all this stuff back and fourth with POS, plus they never sent me anything from the last time, which was a while back but never the less, so am leaving them alone, I hear when you give them more work to do it slows down the process. my wife and I already starting to break down mentally, we trying to find a happy place, hahahaha maybe the nut house will be good.

so its Friday and the place is already closed nothing at all from or to anybody, no sense sticking around I guess we will see everybody on Monday. have a great weekend and @missd make the best of it, everyone else god bless and dnt give up hope. :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

Hmmm well I have several due dates lol. For example, under "criminality" and "security" sections, which appear to have been created in 10/2012, the Due Date is 11/2012 (ie the due date was before I even received AOR from POS)... Not sure what that means at all. The eligibility due date though is not until 10/2013, exactly one year after they created the file. :-X

That's the only "due date" that I can find that hasn't already passed... I think I remember reading somewhere that 12 months is the usual "due date" they put on things when they're sent to POS.
