LOL I wish I was sleeping... I was at the hospital "workin"
Ok.. so how to order notes.. this info was passed onto me by computergeek when I got ready to order mine... here it is:
If you're in Canada, then you are making a "Privacy Act" request and there is no fee. They seem to now consider a mailing address in Canada sufficient.
The forms are here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/requests-personal.asp
You want a copy of the "electronic notes" NOT the "case status". There is no fee for a privacy act request.
...
So.. copy and paste that link and open the website.. Then your wife (since she's in Canada) should fill out the top form (click the top link) called: ■CIC’s Access to Information and Personal Information Request Form (IMM 5563)
Since she's ordering notes on YOUR file, she will need your "consent" so you will have to print out the third link form: •Consent for an Access to Information and Personal Information Request [IMM 5744]. YOU have to sign that and give her permission. You can then scan and email it to your wife or mail it to her.
She should mail in the FIRST form and your consent form together to the address on the forms and your notes come (email is faster) in 30 days from the date they get your forms.
As for how to make a CSE: Go here: www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/missions.asp and find your country in the list. Click on the first (of 3) links for Port of Spain beside your country name. When the new page comes up, scroll down to the bottom of the page where it says "enquiries" and click on the link for "Case Specific". And follow the instructions from there. The info you are putting into the CSE is for the APPLICANT (you) and you are only supposed to write like 250 characters in the CSE box where you say whatever you are writing about.
