yes i agree but the best preperation is yourll awlays talking to each other, i see many sites send the questions for ppl and i have no problem with that, but if you know your spouse well, i dont think you need to go over them, but like you said you never knnow. i see he is from pretoria isnt that the same place this sprinter is from in south africa who shot his girlfriend, is it that dangerous over there.?

No our application is being processed in Pretoria. Mr. M is from Malawi. Yes Pretoria is where the sprinter's murder case is being carried out.

We have gone over the questions.. however all but a few minor details, Mr. M knows the answers. The questions that really matter, about us and our relationship he knows blindfolded!! The others he is working on!

Some parts of south africa are dangerous. We had issues when we travelled as an interracial couple. Some people are still living in the apartheid age and dont accept the other race. Other parts are safe, i think it depends on the township and town!

Nope we did it ourselves. I spent a lot of time going through everyrhing with Mr.M on the phone. If nothing else it was an experience!

UGH!

I applied in August and so I also joined the August thread...

TODAY alone 4-5 people from August (all applied through Ottawa) got their PPR! One girl did not even get a PPR, they just mailed her a COPR (ie. just got the visa in the mail without even knowing it was issued and no PPR).

I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooo jealous. I really wish my VO was Ottawa!!! That's crazy... they're just pushing out those visas. Maybe this is a sign of the PPR-fest that hopefully is about to come as the 1st quarter approaches.

Although... somehow... I feel like POS does not care as much about 1st quarter quotas as Ottawa does...

So POS does technically have a ton more countries to cover... BUT other offices like KGN get MORE applications than POS for PR (even though they have less countries to cover). So KGN issues more visas and processes more applications than POS. Yes, POS has to deal with lots of different places, but it's no excuse for the fact that they RECEIVE less applications than other places and are still slower...

The only POSSIBLE break I will give them is the fact that dealing with so many different places would make background checks/police cert verification/etc more difficult because you would have to deal with so many different places and their different rules. Also, they are under-staffed.

HOWEVER, all the foreign VO's tend to be understaffed... so I'm not convinced that POS should be given too much of a break for their pokiness...

i would agree with you in a way becasue in the entire caribbean KG is the most immigrated country that why they only have four countries and most of the applicants are jamaaicans, as for POS they keep giving them so many different countries to deal with, plus they lazy lol.but llike i said do you think the ppl on the spreadsheet is even half of the ppl that applied for sponsor, hmm and am sure there is more st lucians that just two.

There are tons more applicants than are on this forum. POS processes well over 400 PR applications per year... we don't even have a tiny fraction of those people on here! LOL

But KGN processes much more applications and still manages to give out PPRs almost every week... grrrr.

I shouldn't compare though, it's different.. but it's hard not to peak at the other caribbean threads when we haven't seen update since the stone ages LOL

i know but but why cant those 400 at leasta quartr of them come on the forum so we could at least know whats going on and if things are moving, do you know KG is doing august and september applicant already missd. psses me so much right now. i know they was working on june in december casue a few POS got interview and stuff, how long are they gonna work on june what the hell.

I heard somewhere that the forum only represents about 11% of all spousal applications that CIC recieves.

I hope that POS gets moving for you to see some movement!!!
