So i sent another email to POS asking if they have any timeline as to how long it can take Ottawa to send them the medical results and ho surprise got a responce in 30 minutes!
This refers to your E-mail below.

Unfortunately, we cannot tell a time when Health Medical Branch - Ottawa will forward the results of your medical assessment. However, as soon as we do receive it, we will proceed with your file.

Right!! That in itself is a good sign. And the fact they want to proceed immediately with your file once they get the results , even better! Good sign.

Hey guys n gals! I'm still here lurking in the background, sometimes just don't get the chance to actually type anything. POS is long overdue for some updates, so hopefully they'll get cracking again in time for their quarterly update.

@ Melanitabonita, it took about 8 weeks for Ottawa to process our medical renewal and send it back to POS. On the plus side, they did issue the visa pretty much as soon as it was received.

Hey stranger! Good to see you back, even if just for a minute. Hope all is well with you and hubby and that he is not hating winter so much lol

PS: I'm VERY glad you went through POS (via Dominica) before me or else this I'd have gone nuts thinking it wasn't possible... with all this silence I sometimes wonder if they closed down the office and didn't tell me LOL.. but I just keep thinking.. Zouk did it... it is going to happen SOMEDAY lol

hey @missd did you go to KG someone just got a call for their passport in 5 months 5 months i tell you, hey welcome back missbonita how comes yous passport it taking so long to get back to you? i think the POS office is closed down for true. lol and i saw on KG that they moving so bloody fast anyways u cant blame them they have 5 countries POS have 25 bloody countries.grrr

Yes, I saw that! Super fast.

POS had a couple people within the last few years get through in 5-7 months as well, but it's not very common. I'd love to be one of those people... HURRY UP POS, my 7 months is almost here lol.

Pretoria is currently 23 months a dramatic drop from the 27 when we applied! But still a little longer than your 18 months! I keep hoping the few good stories I have heard on the forum will be true for us.. 6 months would be sweet.. if Mr. M was here for August.. I would be a happy girl!

No I am going to assume ours was not straight forward. I think the only part that is compatible is our ages! This is my second marriage. Mr. M overstayed while he was in the UK. And we got married very quickly after meeting. However, doing a little research and having a few discussions I have learned the main dark orange flag may be that we married quickly. But time will tell. We have been married for 1.5 yrs (most of it apart) and still talk in some form or another everyday.

Not to worry, I have shared before and have no problem sharing. Yes he overstayed in the UK. He has never been to Canada. Only to three other African countries (mostly with me traveling). We met the end of June and registered middle of August.. so maybe just over a month and a half. We then Honeymooned in Zanzibar (awesome choice) We are planning a full out traditional celebration including an engagement ceremony and wedding celebration with all our friends and family in a few year (gotta save up some money first!!).

And I am pretty sure Mr. M is gonna have an interview.. already prepping for that day.

yeh it may seem so, but what you should do and i dont know if you did it already, is give them substatial evidence of a good relationship, you said yourll travel alot did yourll take many pictures that is one of the best proof, as well as document and also the tickets hotel rooms reservation, any and everything that the two of yourll did and share, give them all,it would raise some concern for such a quick marriage being that yourll havent even known each other for that long, but showing that even with that the marriage and communication is still strrong, maybe when he gets the interview he can bring even more documents, like how do your communicate now, skype phone cards magic jack, good stuff to have.

Thanks for the suggestions.. we didn't submit our application right away.. we had been together almost a year and a half before our application was sent. I sent in photos from everywhere we went, and with everyone we saw, and all the sight seeing we did. I attached all our travel tickets and itineraries. I have printed out everything for Mr. M. I have a complete application which I am going to be delivering to him this summer, if not before. I also have kept all our phone records, IM logs, letters and anything that is relevant to our relationship since then. I have all these little envelops and folders in my room to keep everything separated and organized for him!! So hopefully we will be organized for the day we get the call!! I am planning on traveling this summer, or if we get an interview call.. so something to look forward to and more proof!!!

its good you took time to send it after gathering alot of stuff, maybe you might not even get an interview, am confused you said you have a completed application which you delivvering in the summer, thought u sent it out already.
