i know but but why cant those 400 at leasta quartr of them come on the forum so we could at least know whats going on and if things are moving, do you know KG is doing august and september applicant already missd. psses me so much right now. i know they was working on june in december casue a few POS got interview and stuff, how long are they gonna work on june what the hell.

I don't believe they are still working on June.. I believe they are moving ahead (slowly). People who have not heard anything may be in line to have their interview scheduled or may have their files in background checks at CSIS (in which case POS is waiting to hear back that the applicant is all clear before they can do anything, etc). So just because you haven't HEARD anything, doesn't mean your file is not moving along silently through the stages. Those from June that did hear required an interview and may need to wait after they pass their interview for background checks and such (while people who did not require an interview may already BE IN background checks).... etc.

Now, POS is not consistent at all in how they do things... but those are just some possibilities you gotta keep in mind... They could be all the way in July, Aug, Sept now for all we know and the files are just stuck somewhere along the processing line and waiting for the next step.

OMG. I shouldn't be laughing, but that "ugly stray cats" comment made me LOL. I was just picturing your frustration!

Now, I on the other hand would LOVE to be in St Lucia or Dominica with the beaches and stray cats (assuming hubby would still be there) but I'm instead stuck freezing my @ss off and studying all day...

Oh well. I guess nobody enjoys the being separated, no matter WHERE you are while you're separated. Everyone just wants to be with their spouse/family.

Don't fret.. it won't be too much longer before we hear something (I hope ???) and then you can reunite with wifey and puppy and all this crap will be behind yuh.

Well, I'm off to listen to lectures before bed (which is basically like saying I will be asleep in 3.4 minutes) and I probably won't be on too much tomorrow because I have my big exam on Saturday and I"ll be in panic/major study mode tomorrow. But I"ll pop in and say hi... Ya know I gotta come on and check my email and e-cas JUST IN CASE... and I can't do that without poppin in to see you folks just for a second.

So my hubby emailed POS about a week ago. Today he got a reply from them that they received his file and will receive correspondence from them in due course. It doesnt mean anything but at least its a reply.

I will put that down as your AOR then for today since they confirmed they have your file. Looks like you might be one of the ones that does not get an acutal AOR mailed or emailed (not uncommon for POS).

Yes, it's good that they replied... not surpised that they said "in due time"... like waiting a year to be with your husband/wife is nothing to them. Sigh.

hi missd have you ever called the visa office POS and speak to a live person, i called and when the automative thingy ask you if you calling overseas and you say yes it puts you to someone live, and would you belive it they say that cannot give any info over the phone for privacy reason, am like i have a number yourll gave me for privacy reason and u telling me i cannot use it. b.s what you take on that?

Been a while since I checked in. It seems like the frustration level is pretty high right now. The unknown is so difficult. I would be fine if they (CIC) gave me a date and I had something to look forward to, even if it was a year away.

Oh well... Gotta keep on going but it's hard knowing we will never get this precious time back. Fromadistance... Great to hear they've received your application and even better they've acknowledged your email. I may get my husband to email in the next minth if we don't hear anything. Our application was a few weeks behind yours.

Final comment/ question... Our application was received December 13 and I got an email January 11 stating stage one approved and file to be transferred. My question is I never received a paper copying stating the above, only an email. Did everyone receive a paper copy of stage one approval?? Should I be concerned or contact them? I kept the email but want to be sure.

I have not tried calling.. when you do though, they usually won't give out information over the phone. Also, the people who answer the phone are not the people working on your application (they just answer phones and can look at your file progress on their computer system) so often times they don't have info/updated info and, even if they do, they won't give it out usually lol.

I was supposed to have my exam tomorrow afternoon but a last minute opening opened up on Sunday, so I rescheduled so I would have an extra study day... so I won't be on much tomorrow either... But I'll be glued here Sunday night... not that anything will happen over the weekend lol.

Haha didn't know I had such a reputation! Bonita had asked a question a few days ago, no one had really answered so I did. Still managed to have a few marbles left after dealing with POS. I try to get on here every few days, but if ever anything comes up, just send me a PM, I'll get it on my phone.

@Miss D, yup we did it, so you totally can too! It seems endless while you're waiting, but when it's all over it'll just be a memory. My better half is doing well, weather over here has actually been quite good. The job hunt is coming along, but he's doing some volunteer work in the meantime.
There was someone else on here from Dominica (Saka101 I think), haven't seen her in a while, not sure what her status is. In dealing with POS in this process, no news is often good news, cause if something comes up, you'll definitely hear from them. They're not the most caring bunch, but they do get it done. Order your gcms notes when in doubt. I noticed on mine though that they didn't make any useful comments on our file until they were almost ready to issue the visa.
