Hello Experts,

Im Indian and living in Singapore.

I want to apply for Police clearance Certificate (PCC) in SIngapore for India. Indian high commission has listed out documents for obtaining PCC. Which includes invitation letter.

CIC mentions I need to get PCC for all my family members who are accompanying me. But invitation letter (ITA) has no mention of my wife's name.

Then how am I suppose to obtain PCC for her? In the document checklist there is a row for PCC for her.

Hi everyone
I got my pcc from my city in Egypt where i used to live with my in laws before traveling to work at saudia, but the address in my passport is for my new apartment at another city, I recently had it but not yet shifted to or lived in. i used it's address when I renewed my passport.. is that may cause any issues??

Dear members,

I have lived in the same city since the age of 18. However, my addresses have kept changing mutiple times. Would I have to take PCC for each address, or just for the fact that I have lived in this city/country and thats all?

Moreover, my permanent address is that of the village to which I belong, however, I have never lived there except for a day or two once in a while. Would I have to take PCC for my permanent address also?

Please guide me with this. Thanks you.

Hi guys,

this is regarding PCC requirement. I just got an ITA yesterday.
I was born in india. Lived there till July 2012 and have been in Canada since. While visiting my family in Jan 2014, I got a PCC from India. Do i need to get a new one now or is that one, which is 1.5 yrs old, still valid ? Thanks a lot for your help

If you received the PCC after you left India in Jan 2014, it is still valid. If not you need to get a new one. It only takes a couple weeks for an Indian PCC. So apply right away.

The police certificate usually does not mention any addresses. However it may be different in your country.

Must be so in my country as well. Makes sense to me. Thank you.

In our case (Egyptians), it doesn't matter really as the PCC is neither city nor time bound. I assume you're getting a PCC from Saudi too, so it's a proof that you currenty live there (alongside your residency permit, etc)

My passport still mentions my home address in Cairo, while I've been living in Dubai for 4 years. I've applied at the consulate and used the same address written in the passport for the sake of getting things done easily especially when our beloved embassy isn't too cooperative.

Dear Experts,

I've a question regarding police certificate. I've got ITA.
I've been in Canada for several years. I've been travelling to my home country, 5 Oct 2016 to 10 Nov 2016, which is more than six month from now. I've been back to Canada on 10 Nov 2016.
I got my place certificate from home country during that travel, issued on 8 Oct 2016.

Can I submit my application using this police certificate?

Thank you in advance,

Hi Asivad,

Thanks for your reply.

I actually managed to call CIC just now and explained the situation. They advised me as long as:
1. Did not stay more than 6 months after the date on the PCC
2. PCC issued has not expiry

Then it's all good. I asked him so how would they tell if you have stayed more than 6 months after the PCC was issued and he says they look at the stamps in the passport which then makes sense.

As to your quote below. Yes so what happened was I came to Canada to start my new job and returned to my home country to get a fresh PCC to fulfill the need of having it issued after the last time I lived there.

Thanks

Dear Adrlim,

I've same situation. Could you please explain how did it go with your application?

I'm residing in Canada since 2010. Traveled to home country 5 Oct 2016 to 10 Nov 2016. Got PC from home country issued on 8 Oct 2016. Is it valid still?

Thank you very much

It has been 48 days since AOR and still waiting for CIC to issue a letter for me to get PCC from Hong Kong. They need an official request letter from CIC. How long is the wait usually?

Hi Everyone
I am concerned about spouse PCC. He has stayed in Oman for 5 months 2 weeks. Although it is less than 6 months, should we apply for PCC? Even if we apply, will we get it from Oman and would they give a positive one? Has anybody faced this situation? Please guide me.

Guys,

If I'm currently residing in Canada and got ITA. Can I go to my home country to get a police certificate and then go back to canada..

I have heared about rejection of PCC due to issue before departure from country??
Is that related to my case?

Hey Seniors,

I just got my PCC. I have lived under two addresses during the past 10 years. however, the PCC only states my current address for the past 10 years.
it reads as follows:

this is to certify that Mr. X , National ID Number: xxx, address: (Current Address), has not come to the adverse notice of the Sri Lanka Police during the period from 01/01/1996 to 28/02/2012, 01/03/2012 to 05/05/2017 according to our records.

(Signed)
Inspector General of Police.

does the PCC have to state all the addresses I lived in my home country?
