Yes, it has to state all the addresses or should cover all the period of your stay since you turned 18 years old.
I went to the police and asked them if they can include the old address as well but they said that they don't include any of the old addresses but only state the period. so my police report has covered the period from when I was 6 years of age but not stated the old address. only my current address. will this be an issue. please help.

So the PCC mentions the duration as well and it is from the time when you were 6 years old right?
In that case, you PCC should be fine. CIC mentions that it should cover the period of time since you turned 18 years old. But it will be better if you can verify this information from someone in Sri Lanka who already applied for PR.

You are wrong about this. Leaving the country is when you last visited your country. No matter what the purpose was, you should get your PCC after your last visit.
Yeah maybe. I have read many difference advise from seniors on this and also called CIC. However I did not follow this as mentioned and got fresh ones.

Hello Everyone,

I have this query I have been in Canada from last 4 years and never went back to India and I work at Toronto Pearson Airport so in the past for the Security clearance of my badge at the airport GTA asked me for a PCC from India last year in Oct 2016. So my Dad in India sent me a PCC from a local office of SP in Haryana. But I lived in Delhi for 4 years for my Bachelors but on my passport I have My Haryana's address so i was wondering Can I use the same PCC for my Post ITA PCC. As i have never been back to India and does it matter that i lived in Delhi ?? as my dad told me they only issue a PCC based on your permanent residence in India Senior member Please reply.

Hi everyone,

Require your advice.

I have lived all my life in Qatar but holding a Indian passport. Since the age of 18 I have only visited India for only two weeks cumulative. From my understanding I have to provide PCC only for Qatar for my express entry correct ?

I would appreciate your prompt response as I have only two weeks left for my deadline

Thank you for your time and help

Hey all ,
I got an ITA (invitation to apply) for Canadian PR on April 5th with a window period of 90 days. I have all documents ready except for PCC from one of the two countries I lived in (which is USA, also currently in USA).
I applied for the PCC in USA on the 65th day(25days before the 90day period) but looks like it will take longer than 60days to receive it.
1.)Can I still go ahead, accept and apply the ITA application online stating that I applied for the PCC(with a proof)?
2.)DO you think I can get an extension of 40-50day after I submit around the 85thday(5days before the deadline)?
3.) What would you suggest I do?

It means 40 hours after PCC receiving from PSK
took the flight to Calgary from Delhi.

Now I have been living in Canada since after that. Never visited again.
Do I need a new PCC or can use the one received

Coomment please...:)

You don't need from Canada.
Yes you can get pcc for India from the Indian embassy, through BLS

IRCC recently clarified the rules (thankfully!)
http://www.cic.gc.ca/English/information/security/police-cert/intro.asp

"If you need a police certificate from a country or territory and:
  • are currently living there, or received the police certificate before leaving, the police certificate must be issued within six months before you apply.
  • have lived there in the past, the police certificate must be issued after you last lived in that country or territory."
So, unfortunately, you need a new PCC, because the one you obtained before you left is now more than 6 months old.

Hi guys,

I'm happy to join the forum.

I got nomination from Ontario last week for the French-Skeaking Skilled Worker Stream, and I am waiting for an ITA.

About the PCC,would I need to provide one for a countries where I spent 4 and 5 months. The IRCC website says we need to provide one for each country where we spent 6 or more months.I'm abot worried that they may ask.I spent 5 months and 8 days in Zambia and 4 months in Uganda

Yes, what they have mentioned is correct. For instance, Indian PCC is typically valid for 1 year. However, whislt submitting the e-APR, the PCC (if India is the current country of residence), needs to be less than 6 months (because EE process typically takes 6 months).

Check this -

This, without further doubt, answers your question!
Hi Raj,

I also have a question about PCC.I spent 4 months in Uganda and 5 months in Zambia. Since IRCC specifies at least 6 months, I hope I don't need to get PCC from Uganda and Zambia?

Many thanks

@manishsn I would suggest you decline and wait for another ITA, which will give you the "extension" you're looking for. What is your CRS score?

I have about 60 days left and still haven't received my Indian PCC. I almost submitted my application with the receipt for Indian PCC and after reading this thread and reading How to get a police certificate, I'd rather send in a complete application than an incomplete one.
