I have not spent 6 months in my country of citizenship since when I was 18. I don't need a PCC from there even if I have a passport, right?
you absolutely need a PCC from your country of passport, whether you have lived there or not...chardys said:I have not spent 6 months in my country of citizenship since when I was 18. I don't need a PCC from there even if I have a passport, right?

No. You need a new one.nhab said:Hello all
I urgently need your help and advice:
I am currently living in Canada (since 2010) and I visited my country on December-January, 2016-2017
While I was visiting my country I applied for police certificate and received it on Feb 25, 2016. I left my country on Jan 10, 2017 and in total I stayed for one month.
can I use this police certificate for EE? I am asking that because on CIC website has been mentioned:
"For countries in which the applicant no longer resides, the police certificate must have been issued after last time the applicant lived in that country."
They used "Lived" and not "visited". Does this mean I can still use my PC?
Thank you so much for the help. I am about submitting my application but not sure about this case

Not required.bestofluck said:Yes it is advisable to get one.
Sometimes they only consider months and not days. so they might consider 4 months for first stay and 2 months for second.
then it is 5 months. you may not neednipuns1 said:The total for first stay was less than 2 months though
I know many who are rejected for this.DiNaV said:http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/invitations.asp
Please read here:-
Police certificates
You will need to get police certificates for you and each of your family members who are over 18. You must get one from each country or territory where you have spent six or more months since the age of 18.
For countries where you have lived for six months or more, the police certificate must be issued after the last time you lived in that country.
In some countries, it can take a long time to get police certificates. If you did not start the process to get them before you were invited to apply, you should do this right away, so you can submit them before the 90 days are up.
