Due date is meaningless. There is no comittment to have a decision on anyone's profile by due date. Due date is usually the date an year after you get your AOR.

I think so, my "Due Date" in GCMS is March 22 2017.. I hope to they make a decision before March 22 2017. but
my workpermit is expired on May 08 2017. so Do I have to extend work permit (BOWP)? or just wait? um... so complecate.. :-)

If I am not wrong BOWP could not be issued at the order. They can only give you usual open and closed work permit but not BOWP.

it doesn't matter to me whether i get a opened or closed work permit. I have been working at the same place for over 3 years now.

Just need some clarification on what they are really doing with the file. I ordered GCMS notes paid the $5 fee that will take sometime to come around too.

Rajeev you can only apply BOWP if you are you nomination is not restricted.
Also are you not in Canada ? Why did you pay 5$??

You can only get GCMS notes if you reside in canada or are a permanent resident or canadian citizen and there are 2 ways to get it one is through Access to Information Act and Privacy Act. Privacy act is free but it takes a little bit over 30 days to get it where as the access to information act is paid and you get that under 30 days.

I know my nomination is not restricted but like i said before it really does not matter whether i get a open or closed work permit.

How come they sent you an actual mail instead of email?
Did you choose to be contacted that way?
I'm just asking to make sure my documents are in order and I have selected the right options.

I received my GCMS notes today. Applied on Dec 16. My RPRF fee still shows as outstanding on my GCMS notes. Is it usual? I got a request to pay RPRF in the month of Sept and I paid in the same month and sent a receipt through CSE. People that have received their GCMS notes recently can you please let me know if you experience something similar?

Mine showed as paid on my last GCMS notes.

Pretty sure you have to apply for extension of your WP up to 30 days before its expiry, so you don't have to worry about it until April 8th (unless your conditions of stay have changed). You can, probably, also apply for bridge work permit (if you're in Canada).

No you can apply anytime if your work permit expires within 4 months. Mine expires on May 7, thus I have already applied for a BOWP.

Mine was in progress before, and now it says not needed. it's strange.

Guys,

My BOWP will expire April 24 and I will do medical this weekend. I will apply another BOWP just in case I dont wanna take any risk.
Can I apply 2nd BOWP?

Thanks! :)

Information for work permit extension that might help you guys.

I was crossing the border (Peace Arch border near Vancouver/Surrey) last week and I asked the Officer about work permit extension as my work permit expires in April 2017.

The Officer told me that I can apply for the extension but i do not have to if I do not plan on leaving the country.

I will be under applied status by default as i have applied for pr and also given my medical. So I can continue working without any extension till i get a result from CIC for my PR.

Again I am not allowed to exit the country after my permit expires and till I get my PR.

Also, if any one of you guys call CIC, please ask them the same question. No need to waste $500 for a permit that you wont even use after you get the PR
