I usually follow the 2015 old CEC forum and I noticed most people in that forum did upfront medicals and upfront RPRF and honestly all of them got passport request very fast and non complained cec miss placed thr MR. I'm not saying you all should do that I'm just saying it's safe and it made ther application faster.
I know a lot of people who did it and now they have thr PR

Good luck to everyone I hope we all hear something good from CIC soon

I am checking on three threads and so far I have seen most November Applicants receiving MR, and one or two December applicants.
No January applicants i know of have received MR yet.

Hi Everyone,

Hoep is all well, I applied for PR under Ontario provisional nominee ( no job offer - no employer restriction on nomination) , and got my AOR by email on oct 21th. the email says the following and shows a file number as well :

This confirms that your application for permanent residence in Canada has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2016/07/12.

AND here is the status online:

Application/profile status Open
Review of eligibility Review in Progress
Review of medical results Not needed at this time
Review of submitted documents
Scheduling an interview Not needed at this time
A background check is needed In Progress
Final decision Not Started

Now my questions is if this AOR in the email format is enough to apply for the Bridging open work permit ( mine current work permit is open as well) or do I have to wait of the eligibility assessment to change to from in progress to " passed" and receive another letter from them?

Thanks a lot

No, you will not receive any other email about eligibility. This AOR is good for applying BOWP as long as your current work permit is expiring within 4 months.

Copy paste here too. Lol man.

I would not recommend you to do it. It is no necessary. The upfront medical will not speed up the processing time at all.
