I think you'll get your MR in January. We have been observing that pattern with most applications. 11-12 months for Medicals.

Federal application- feb8 2016
Application received- feb8
A.O.R received- april16

Still waiting for Medical request been almost 9 months.
I would be waiting to get interesting replies on this post and hope its helpful for everyone out here.

They hvnt update my spouse to my file i called them number of times

Hopefully they will update that in ecas soon

Does it mean, its okay to do medical upfront even if you dont receive yet the medical request?
Are you an express entry?is itapplicable to provincial nominee program apllicant like me?

I am Jan 2016 applicant.....Till today I didn't receive my MR yet....

But I went for Pre medicals and I sent my eMedicals Conformations through case specific enquiry on Oct 13th. Today morning I received email from CIC saying we attached your eMedicals to your application.

When I checked my Ecas, my medicals is showing PASSED


Application/profile status - Open
Review of eligibility - Review in Progress
Review of medical results - Passed
Review of submitted documents - Provided
Scheduling an interview - Not needed at this time
A background check is needed - Not needed at this time
Final decision - Not Started

But; I provided updated schedule A form on Aug 29, it is still showing review of submitted documents - provided. I am not sure when they will update this ???? :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

Hopefully all Jan applicants will get MR in 1~2 weeks....Good luck guys.....

It is not recommended to upfront medicals. However, it is your decision whether you still want to do it or wait for it.

Doing upfront medical leave chances of misplacement of your medical (from CIC end) and it does not expedite your application. Yesterday I noticed one member here on July, 2015 forum - he did upfront medical and sent it through CSE. CIC sent him email for medical result, he replied again with CSE. It is been over month, they still have not find it and when he calls CIC call centre - they suggests him doing it again.

There are few people here who have done it upfront and it shows passed. So you never know what could happen.

Paper based applicants are not suppose to upfront Medical as far as I knew !

Also has any January applicant received MR ?

I made appointment in One of the clinic in Vancouver which had eMedicals. When they are doing medicals they selected my category as worker due to I didn't received my MR yet. They did all test what ever required for PR and gave me UMI. It took 2 hours. The confirmation document had first name, last name, passport number and UMI. I sent this document to CIC through case specific enquiry. IRCC will track our reports based on UMI.

Within One week I got email saying that my documents will be passed to concerned department. On 13th day, I received email saying my application status changed. When I login into my account I found my medicals status is passed.
