I'm Jan 2016 applicant. I got AOR in April and reminder email in September. I submitted requested docs through case specific inquiry and received confirmation email that required document were received.
I just checked my account and noticed that it says:
"Review of submitted documents We need an additional document from the applicant"
has anyone experienced this, please advise if you have experience.

In this case , I think they didn`t got the document from you yet...
I`m a January applicant, AOR April, got a document request in September and updated the same day, and my status show like this:

Review of eligibility Review in Progress Help
Review of medical results Not needed at this time Help
Review of submitted documents Provided Help
Scheduling an interview Not needed at this time Help
A background check is needed Not needed at this time Help
Final decision Not Started
On the bottom of the application details you should have "Application messages" and show you the letter from CIC, if you click on "view this message" will send you to ""view submitted application" where you can see what documents have been sent ...
