I believe for your case, they will allow you to fly to the US, you can say you just want to travel, since you have a valid US visa. I believe the Canada Border wont cause a problem, as you are a Permanent Resident of Canada.maxy81 said:Hi All, I am stuck in a dilemma here and would appreciate your help. I have travel plans for Australia late March and as you all know we won't have our PR cards for another 105 days. I am aware of the PRTD document that you can apply from outside of Canada but have decided to use that as my last option to come back to Canada.(It could take 1-3 weeks and I don't want to stress over it when I am at the beach). I am not from a Visa-Exempt Country. Here is an option that I need your advice about: I book my return ticket from Aus to Seattle (I have USA visa) and get a friend to pick me up from Seattle and cross the border by ROAD. Do you guys know what the policy is when returning via road. I couldn't find anything online. The only concern with this option is what if Australian authorities don't let me board the plane because I don't have PRTD. Technically, I will be going to Seattle and have USA visa which allows me to do so. If they ask me where are you from, I have to say Canada but I am planning to say that I am visiting a friend in Seattle and then driving over to Vancouver which should be none of their business as I am going to USA which I am allowed to. Let me know you guys think? Is it possible? Too risky?
Thank you so much
But double check again. I might get that wrong.
