I AM NEW HERE. I HAVE ALREADY APPLIED FOR PR AFTER GETTING NOMINATED FROM ALBERTA. I WANTED TO KNOW THE TIME LINE ABOUT IT. ONLINE IT SAYS TIME PERIOD IS 16 MONTHS. COULD SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME IF IT IS EXACT OR NOT.

In this page we are waiting more than 20 months, so in our cases 16 months is not time period.

Hi Everyone,

I submitted my application on July29,2014.
I checked online for my application status, they said
On Dec3,2015: they received my application for permanent residence.
They sent my correspondence acknowledging receipt of my application on Mar2,2016.
They started processing my application on Mar3,2016.
Until now, they didn't update anything.
Is that looking like normal to wait more than 9 months to get medical request?
I am Chinese and I applied in BC Canada.
What should I do?

Hi Jay80! pretty sure you're PR by now. I got my PPR today, our passports are still on process for renewal,hopefully will receive them soon.
I want to ask you, so now I got my PPR, then if I received my new PP, should I still need to update CIC bout it?or send them straight with the email of PPR?thanks in advance

this is great news. congratulations!!!!
you can directly give them your new passports. but while still waiting for your new passports. give them a heads up through the inquiry webform. attach your receipt of passport renewal.
