This depends on the Visa Office that is going to assess you application. For inland, it takes a long time, for some out land VO's like New Delhi, it might take only 2 months.

No, You will need to update them your new traveling details / history after getting PR at the time of your Citizenship.

As you have mentioned just for few days or vocation so no need at this point of time but if longer time say six months for back home somewhere for job then you have to update your address and everything.....but so far you are good now
Um yes you should notify CIC of any travels as it may affect your background history.

Hi Stay,

The document checklist states PC requirement. So send them a copy of document checklist as request form.

Measure ur height and write ur eye color lol they need that for police clearance to see if u match the description of any criminal :D no just for the record.

You are underestimating the CIC officers. Providing them with vital information about your background and history would hinder your application? They need to know literally EVERYTHING. I cannot give you solid reference because i don't have any. However, i can tell you that a CIC representative told me so over the phone, which you can believe or not because i know that their reps are not always accurate with info.

My point is, this might not be an issue. In my opinion, you should notify your officer of any change of your address, marital status, deaths, births, employment and travels.

To add to my previous comment, the reason i suggest to do so is that you actually cross borders and when you go through the CBSA, they might ask questions and might even confirm with CIC that you're an applicant. They have even questioned a member of this forum about a returned PR application when he did his landing after the 2nd application had been approved. Better safe than sorry. Too much info is better. But you may be right.

It has opened up a new discussion. Bit confusing...i would agree with Luckychamp because even i didn't read anywhere about travel update to CIC.
Even the AOR email doesn't say anything about it except Marital status, change of address, employer etc etc but nothing about travelling.
Hmmmmm ::) ::) ::)
