Hello friends,

I am Sep 2015 Inland applicant. Waiting for MR. My ECAS shows IN PROCESS.

I have read Cic explanation about each terms like IN PROCESS, etc online. Still, it kind of confuse me.

My question is: When it's shown In Process in ECAS before MR request, does Cic is actually doing something on our application through out this time after sending AOR (like background checks or security checks, etc) or our file is simply put aside for a later date in order to process previous application on Que.

Hi there

I am also on the same boat...yes you are right they do other stuff like background check and after that issue us MR ....I heard it will remain in process even after MR till we will get the passport request and after that they will show result and close the application.

Thank you Luckychamp for replying.

Somebody told me Cic Won't start background / security checks until Medical results are positive. May be he is wrong.

Well its something to get relaxed as they are at least doing something regards to our application.

This is sequence of events from what I understand:

1) AOR (they do file number and "in process" in the same e-mail now)
2) File gets transferred to local VO (this does not change the ecas status, it stays in process)
3) Medical Request (by e-mail)
4) Medical Received (updated on ecas)
5) RPRF Request with updated schedule A request (by e-mail)
6) Back ground checks starts (no notification of this)
7) Possible Interview (e-mail)
8) Status change to Decision Made (ecas)
9) PPR (e-mail)
10) Status change to Complete (ecas)
11) Passport received back with PR Visa.

Like I said, this is what I understand from what I have read before. I will be receiving my first GCMS Notes end of February (at latest) and will then be able to tell you exactly what has been done on my file. I am requesting my notes every 30 days to keep up to date.

Feel free to comment on the process if anyone else knows the exact sequence or see something I have missed.

Hope this helps...

Thank you Druce for updates. lets wait and see
