forgot to mention that entering the USA might require a US visa .. I dont know if USA border officers will let you in .. need more thoughts on this from people who don't have a US Visa.

US Visa from vancouver take a week to get, so maybe you can consider getting that as well. I got mine last month in 7 days from applying.

You don't need a US visa, you are not really entering US, you are leaving Canada. Once you cross the border you just have to tell the US customs that you're there to complete your Canadian immigration process, they will then give you a US visa refusal letter and guide you to re-enter Canada again and complete your immigration process. Once that is done, you will be entering Canada as Permanent Resident.

You do not have to enter the States.
Just go to the American side, they will give you a refuse to enter letter, then you go back to the Canadian side with that letter and make the landing.

I am wondering if it's a black history for your US VISA application, like you are refused, when you apply for VISA next time, will they comprehensively consider this spot?

No it is not, I asked my friend who is a PR and completed the process, he said it's not

After the p.r when u become citizen there is no need to take visa for u.s. upon Canadian passport. Still it's a win win.

The time window between becoming a citizen after getting the PR is not less my friend. We are talking about few YEARS!

Guys honestly, it doesn't matter, you are not visiting US, you are just completing your Canadian immigration process. The US customs know it very well, thousands of people complete their PR landing this way every year.

Guys I need your help!!!

I got Ppr last week, and just waiting for my passport to get back to flagpole and get the PR visa stamped on it.

I booked a flight to Mexico for some long needed vacations and my return flight is mexico - Usa and then planning on driving from portland to Vancouver. Do you think they will let me back in without a Pr card? I'd be crossing by land (on a rental car, not a commercial vehicle).

Any light shed on this would be highly appreciated!
