Japan Police Certificate has to wait util CIC send a letter requesting, so I didn't apply it before.


"How to obtain a police certificate – Japan
Do I need to provide a Police Certificate with my Application for Permanent Residence?
No. Citizenship and Immigration Canada will send you a letter requesting a police certificate after you send your Application for Permanent Residence. You must bring that letter when you apply for a Police Certificate."

Oh sorry.... yes i heard that some countries ask for it. good luck, hope they wont take more time to issue one.

o yeah that sucks . hat is like game. two countries two different rules . try to send on CIC that information which u wrote here and explain them , and ask them if they can give you more time. i think your embassy is in Ottawa like for more other countries. and for my country is also in Ottawa

I would appreciate if you could share your thoughts about my situation. My kids passports are expiring within 6 months, in June, 2016. We do not have panel phisians in our home country, so I am going to undergo med exam here in Canada,(I am still waiting for MR), then go to my homecountry to renew passports (I can not renew them via mail). I will provide copies of passports then. Will it be ok??? The reminder email says provide copies as soon as possible, it does not say that I should do it in a certain / limited time. Please advice me!!

Hi ihave one question. Was anybody in my situation? My husband has daughter in home country . She is 14.
We are witing now for MR. 100% they will ask for MR for her also. So what if her mother doesnt allowe her to do MR for us. I mean she is crazy woman and just she dont want to help us. She is just looking how to make us problems. So what then if she will not do a medical?

Sounds that you are in a thought spot. There is not much you can do, if they ask her to do MR she needs to do them. That will be up to your husband to try to figure out a solution.

Hi experts,

i got my reminder email with all other june applicant but i mess a thing, i was supposed to send a copy of my new passport which i send with a cover letter stating my Name, UCI & File number. I miss to write my Date of Birth and they mention in the reminder email that please mention your date of birth also. So should i submit my passport copy again with new cover letter or they will accept my cover letter. Is there any way to find out that they have received a copy of new passport.

I encourage you to do it, if you can, before their status expire and come back with the current status before they apply for new one. But for sure you will have to renew it.

I had to renew my passport as well and the new one took almost 3 months, once I submitted the papers to renew my permit the process took longer than the date of expiring of my permit but I was able to stay with status implied and keep working until I got the new one.

Guess it was not the GCMS requests that made your application go faster then.

Well, I did a case specific equerry "Has my file been transferred to my local VO, South Africa, Pretoria yet?".

Yesterday I received a e-mail from my local VO stating:

Good day,

We wish to confirm receipt of your application. Your file number at our office is EP............... Your file is currently awaiting review by an officer. You will be contacted as soon as a review has taken place.

I also did a GCMS Notes request last week and will keep you guys up to speed on what it states as soon as I receive it.

Now it is the wait for Police Clearance Certificate and Medical Request ;D
