PPR e-mails can be delivered late at night too. I got mine at 10:30 pm

i got a second request for PPR. I got one 2 days back. Did anyone face that? I already sent my PP today but the second request surprised me. Do i need to do anything extra.

Urgent Help Needed:

Hi Everyone,

I have got the worst luck of all. My CoPR and Visa Stamped passport got stolen from my mailbox. I didn't even have a chance to look at the envelope. Someone stole it from my Unit's mailbox and now it's gone. I have the police report now and going to get a new passport in few days.

I am worried about getting a copy of CoPR and Visa Stamp again. I called CIC and they said contact Ottawa directly. It's been 24 hours since I emailed them but no luck yet. Can anyone in their wildest imagination can help me here? Am I even safe here? Can I get a new CoPR and Visa Stamp on my new passport?

Just a quick question regarding Bio data form ,do we need to fill it separately or just fill it in the same PPR email as it is not a separate attachment ?

I'm thinking you will print out the PPR email to fill out the Bio data page manually.

What safety are you talking about?
They will stamp it again in new passport. There wont be any issue in it. Passport lost is not new to them as unfortunately few lose their passports.

Dont worry about it. They will issue you a new one. You cant lose ur PR if you passport is lost. How do you know it was stolen?

When Canadapost delivered mine, they had status as delivered 2-3 hours before it was actually delivered.

The guy was caught in a surveillance cameras. It's a police case, and he was stealing important documents from my Area's mailbox for weeks. I now have the police report handy, however, I am worried about CoPR and Landing documents as-well.

Ottawa office hasn't replied to my email. I have a planned trip after 10 days, which is pretty much gone. I paid 3K CADs for that trip. Life has be cruel sometimes.

I am extremely worries. Do you know what Ottawa office will be needing now?

Yea this is very unfortunate. See if you have trip interruption coverage with your credit card used to buy tickets or if your work provides this insurance as part of benefits package.

Ottawa Office will take a while to reply if you emailed them since they usually have a huge backlog of emails. You could consider talking to your local MP . They can usually get an answer within a day or two.
Either ways apply for the new passport and by the time you get it, ottawa office will hopefully send you a new PPR.

I see. I will contact my local MP then. True man, I don't even that happen to people I don't like. This is the worst thing I could happened to me.
