i have one question to all friends

i m in canada as a close work permit

so my wife from back home apply 2 times open work permit and she was refused both time

can it would be bad effect on our PR application , i applied sep 26

GCMS note :

My concern is that once reunited with her spouse the applicant would have little incentive to depart Canada therefore I am not satisfied that the applicant is a bona fide temporary residence, refused

it says PA applicant got married 2011 he also live other country before came to canada

it appears PA and spouse have never lived in the same country in the course of their marriage
they have elected to live separately since they married in 2011, I fail to see the any H&C measures to reunite them now

They will email you back. Wait for 3 to 5 business days at-least.

My representative did pick up my call and all inquiry was done over phone. Keep trying. Sometimes they have multiple phones numbers. Looks for their local/regional office number, not parliament office. Usually some reception person at least picks up.
Otherwise just go and see if you can get someone.

Hi devpsd,

I believe so.. Are your friends ON applicants too?
I just called CIC and asked if they have received all needed documents and agent said the application is all complete but did not disclose any info on the processing...
It is taking really too long!

Yes both are ON. However one is pnp and other CEC. I am not sure about the pnp friend, but the cec one had complications in his file and status, hence the delay.
Well good, at least the agent gave you a definite reply. I believe your was delayed because of those strange doc requests. hopefully it moves forward. yours is nearing their maximum limit. almost 14 months

My only concern is that they change the status to MD after IP and then another 1,2 months wait comes!

Not true. There are many cases where applicants got ppr within a few days after dm. Many get dm/ppr same day. I got ppr directly. My ip/dm got updated few days after ppr.
They don't really have a step process and ecas is done in batches by different teams.

Hey, just check the Ecas, it showed In process on 7th July. Anyone know how long it will take to DM or PPR? I am May applicant and it already been 14 months, hope it won't take too long to next step.

Hi Everyone.. Good news! I've got my passport back with visa stamped.. Went to Niagara falls and stamped as Permanent resident !
I've a question, I applied from inside Canada for PR, so I already have SIN Card and OHIP card. But my SIN is starting with "9".
How do I change this? I heard that once you become permanent resident , your SIN will change. But I don't see any instructions to how to change it? Do I need to go to service Canada to change it? or it will be automatically changed?
